The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province has issued Decision No. 3226/QD-UBND, approving Van Don Sun Joint Stock Company as the investor for the Van Don Special Casino Complex project – a pilot casino complex for Vietnamese people in the Van Don Special Zone.
The project boasts an impressive total area of 244.45 hectares and aims to construct a luxurious integrated resort and entertainment complex with premium gambling facilities, exclusively piloted for Vietnamese citizens.
Key operations within the complex include casino gaming, tourism, hospitality, resort, condotel, commercial townhouses, a commercial center, entertainment, and premium healthcare services.

One of the project’s notable highlights is the premium casino, which is piloted for Vietnamese participants, subject to stringent criteria as per current regulations.
Complementing the casino are integrated tourism, leisure, and service offerings, creating a comprehensive ecosystem catering to international visitors and the domestic middle and upper classes.
This super complex will also host large-scale international art performances and vibrant entertainment options, day and night, aspiring to establish Van Don as a destination rivaling the allure of Macau (China) or Las Vegas (USA).
With a total investment of over 2 billion USD, comprising investor capital, loans, and mobilized capital, the Van Don Special Casino Complex has a projected operational duration of up to 70 years from the date of the investor receiving the investment approval decision.
The construction and operational timeline is anticipated to span nine years from the date the investor is allocated or leased the land for project implementation.
