Vietnam is witnessing an active nationwide drive to provide land and financial support for ethnic minority households to build homes.

This initiative has resulted in the construction of 255,310 new homes and the repair of 78,924 existing ones. The beneficiaries include individuals with revolutionary contributions, near-poor and poor households under two national target programs, and those under the “Whole Country Joins Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses” campaign, along with other special cases.

Notably, the campaign initiated by the Prime Minister has achieved impressive results. As of now, 100% of the construction and renovation projects for near-poor and poor households under this campaign have commenced, providing a strong impetus for localities to completely eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by August 31, 2025.

To materialize this goal, approximately 454,318 individuals have volunteered their time, contributing over 2.7 million workdays. Additionally, financial resources have been mobilized from various channels, including state budgets, household contributions, and socialization, totaling VND 24,761.596 billion.

These figures showcase the determined and united efforts of the entire political system and society in ensuring housing welfare for the people.
