In December 2024, Aeon Mall Vietnam JSC commenced the first phase of the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa Commercial Center project. This is the company’s eighth mall in Vietnam.

The Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa Commercial Center spans an area of 10.5 hectares, with a floor area of 120,000 square meters and a leasable area of 52,000 square meters. With a total investment of over VND 4,000 billion, it is one of the largest projects in Central Vietnam.

As of now, the project has completed approximately 40% of the work and is expected to be fully completed by October 2026.

The Aeon Mall commercial center project in Quang Phu Ward, Thanh Hoa Province, is considered a key and large-scale project, playing a crucial role in boosting the province’s socio-economic development.

However, the project has faced challenges regarding the connecting transportation system and external technical infrastructure, with construction procedures and paperwork proving to be difficult.

To address this situation, the leaders of Thanh Hoa Province gave important directions after a working session with departments, sectors, and related units.

Accordingly, the provincial leaders directed the study of transferring the infrastructure project investor from the People’s Committee of Quang Phu Ward to the Dong Son Project Management Board.

The Department of Finance, in coordination with relevant units, was assigned to urgently advise on this transfer and report to the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee by August 25, 2025, at the latest.

At the same time, the People’s Committee of Quang Phu Ward was assigned to urgently review the procedures, documents, and site clearance-related work. They are to focus their efforts on arranging resettlement in accordance with regulations and handing over a clean site to the investor by October 31, 2025, at the latest.

Once assigned, the Dong Son Project Management Board must complete the entire infrastructure project by January 2026, at the latest.

Regarding the Aeon Mall Thanh Hoa Commercial Center project, Aeon Mall Vietnam JSC needs to concentrate its resources on accelerating construction progress, ensuring absolute labor safety, environmental sanitation, and synchronizing technical infrastructure with the entire project.

The company should also propose specific locations for intersections, traffic lights, and signposts to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow once the project is operational. For electricity supply, the company must submit a proposal for the electricity usage roadmap for phase 2.

Notably, Aeon Mall Vietnam JSC is requested to prioritize the employment of local workers, especially those from households affected by the project.

Additionally, they are to propose organizing a conference to promote and connect the supply and demand of provincial products to meet the quality requirements of the Aeon Mall system, providing local businesses with opportunities to access the market…
