On August 20, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department announced that to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and Hanoi City will hold a grand ceremony, including a parade and procession, starting at 6:30 am on September 2.

The organizers will conduct a full rehearsal on August 21, starting at 8:00 pm, followed by another full rehearsal on August 24 at the same time. A preliminary review will take place on August 27 at 8:00 pm, and the final rehearsal will be held on August 30 at 6:30 am.

Earlier, on August 13, the Hanoi Police issued a traffic diversion notice to facilitate the celebration activities.

On August 21, as per the plan, the organizers of the commemoration will conduct a full rehearsal. To ensure security and smooth proceedings, the Hanoi Police have announced traffic diversions and provided alternative routes for vehicles as follows:

Road closure and traffic restrictions on August 21: Starting from 11:30 am on August 21 to 3:00 am on August 22 (5 and a half hours earlier than previously announced)
