According to TVS Motor Vietnam, the Indian automotive manufacturer is offering significant discounts on its scooter range, with a particular focus on the TVS Callisto 110. The suggested retail price of this scooter is approximately VND 29.5 million (<$1,250), but some dealerships are offering promotions with discounts of up to VND 9.5 million, bringing the actual selling price down to an impressive VND 20 million (<$850).

The TVS Callisto 110 is now available with a discount of up to VND 9.5 million, resulting in a selling price of only VND 20 million.
At this price point, the Callisto 110 is considerably more affordable than its direct competitor in the same segment, the Honda Vision. The Vision’s selling price varies from VND 31 million to approximately 37 million (<$1,315 to $1,575>), depending on the version.
The Honda Vision is regarded as one of the best-selling standard scooters in Vietnam, boasting a strong brand, reliability, and an extensive service network. However, the introduction of the TVS Callisto 110 at a lower price point presents an appealing alternative for customers seeking a small urban scooter. Both scooters cater to a broad range of users, especially women and those in need of a compact and economical vehicle for daily commuting.
Equipped to Rival the Vision
The TVS Callisto 110 is a fully imported scooter from Indonesia. It is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 109.7 cc engine, air-cooled and equipped with electronic fuel injection. It delivers a maximum power output of approximately 5.8 kW (equivalent to 7.78 hp) and a peak torque of 8.8 Nm.
In comparison, the Honda Vision is fitted with an eSP 110 cc engine, featuring a single-cylinder, air-cooled design. This engine produces a maximum power of 6.59 kW (~8.8 hp) at 7,500 rpm and a torque of 9.29 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

The fuel tank cap is conveniently located at the rear, eliminating the need to lift the seat for refueling.
A direct comparison reveals that the Vision’s engine delivers higher power and torque outputs, resulting in slightly better acceleration and overall performance than the Callisto 110. The Callisto, on the other hand, emphasizes stability and provides sufficient power for urban commuting.
Regarding fuel efficiency, publicly available information does not currently provide official data for the Callisto 110. In contrast, Honda claims that the Vision offers a fuel consumption rate of approximately 1.8–1.85 liters per 100 km, which is quite impressive for this segment.

One notable feature of the Callisto 110 is its larger under-seat storage capacity compared to its rival. It offers a generous 21-liter storage compartment, capable of accommodating two full-face helmets along with some personal items. The fuel tank capacity is approximately 5.8–6 liters, and the fuel tank cap is conveniently located at the rear, eliminating the need to lift the seat for refueling.
In contrast, the Honda Vision provides an under-seat storage capacity of around 18 liters, while its fuel tank, positioned under the seat, holds approximately 4.8–4.9 liters. This design requires the seat to be lifted for refueling.

The TVS Callisto 110 boasts an impressive under-seat storage capacity of 21 liters.
In terms of safety features, the TVS Callisto 110 is equipped with a front disc brake, a rear drum brake, and incorporates SBT (Synchronized Braking Technology), which ensures balanced brake force distribution. It also includes an analog instrument cluster with a white background, a USB charging port, a two-tone seat with a backrest for the passenger, and a spacious footrest area.
The Honda Vision has an advantage when it comes to modern technology. It integrates a smart key system, an Idling Stop function that automatically shuts off the engine after 3 seconds of idling, a CBS (Combi Brake System), and a USB charging port. However, its instrument cluster is a simple analog design without an option for a digital display.
Given the current promotional offer that significantly reduces the price of the TVS Callisto 110, this Indian-made scooter is a compelling option within the standard scooter segment.
