On August 19th, the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, in collaboration with Sun Group Corporation, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the super project of an International-standard Cultural Amusement and Commercial Service Park (Da Nang Downtown).

The Da Nang Downtown complex, spanning 76.92 hectares, is located in Hoa Cuong Ward and comprises an amusement and cultural park, a theater, a bustling riverfront commercial area, a green park embracing the Han River, and a 69-story tower, the tallest in Central Vietnam. “With its unique planning and the experience of investor Sun Group, we believe that the Cultural Amusement and High-end Commercial Service Park, Da Nang Downtown, will be a new driving force, contributing to the completion of the city’s tourism infrastructure. It will also serve as a strong catalyst for the breakthrough development of services, trade, culture, and arts,” the city leader expected.

Located on the prime land by the Han River, between Tran Thi Ly and Tien Son bridges, the Da Nang Downtown amusement and cultural park is likened to the “center of the center.” This is also one of the few remaining diamond plots of land in Da Nang and the future “fireworks stage.” The area will feature a theater of more than 9,000 sq. m with 4,000 seats (including an opera hall and a multi-purpose room), a museum, and an exhibition center.

A special highlight of Da Nang Downtown is the 69-story tower, the second tallest in Vietnam (408m). The tower integrates multiple facilities, including a 5-star hotel, Grade A offices, premium apartments, a commercial center, restaurants, bars, an observation deck, and a conference and event venue.

The complex is expected to rival famous night amusement parks in Shanghai, Hong Kong (China), and Singapore, propelling Da Nang to the status of an international city,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of Sun Group Central Region.
