The Gia Han Farm project is located in Tuyen Binh, Quang Tri province. With a total investment of nearly VND 2.4 trillion, it is considered a “super farm” and is the largest in Vietnam, housing 15,000 sows and producing 450,000 market hogs annually. BAF shared that when operating at full capacity, the project is expected to generate a revenue of VND 3,100 – 3,400 billion per year.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Kim Dang, Deputy Director of the Department of Livestock Production and Veterinary, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, stated: “The Gia Han Farm project is one of the 250 constructions and projects inaugurated and started across the country, and one of six in the field of agriculture and environment. It is also one of the five key projects of Quang Tri province.”

BAF representatives revealed that the highlight of the Gia Han project is the application of a series of top modern technologies to ensure safe and efficient farming practices. This includes a four-layer air filtration system that effectively prevents dangerous pathogens, a smart odor and disinfectant system that eliminates over 95% of odors, a five-layer biosecurity system that prevents dangerous pathogens from a distance with a focus on ASF, smart livestock management and feeding systems, and intelligent wastewater and waste treatment systems.

The high-tech Gia Han pig farm is expected to not only improve BAF’s productivity and product quality but also contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s livestock industry.

In terms of business performance, in the first six months of 2025, BAF achieved a total pig sales volume of approximately 330,000 pigs. Revenue exceeded VND 2.5 trillion, all from livestock farming. Although slightly lower than the same period last year, this figure already accounts for 78% of the livestock farming revenue for the whole of 2024 and is 1.6 times higher than the previous year. Net profit reached VND 327 billion, 2.1 times higher than the previous year.
