The integration of AI into various industries is an inevitable trend, and forward-thinking companies are already embracing this technology to enhance their operations. This prominent company is planning to introduce a range of AI Agents to work alongside their employees, creating a “Human + AI” model that aims to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Leading Corporations Embrace the Human + AI Paradigm

Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the influential Tata Group in India, announced that TCS will invest 30 billion rupees (approximately $360 million) in its Human + AI strategy. TCS will commence by building a large force of AI Agents to work collaboratively with humans and develop integrated solutions, leveraging this synergistic strength. “Gen AI, with its near-human reasoning abilities, is not just a short-term technology wave. It is a civilizational turning point,” asserted Mr. N. Chandrasekaran in the annual report to shareholders in May 2025.

With over 607,000 employees, TCS aims to become the company with the largest trained AI Agent workforce by 2025. CEO K Krithivasan shared that their clients are shifting from isolated AI experiments to organizational-wide deployments, focusing on scenarios that offer clear investment returns.

To meet this demand, TCS established the AI Excellence Center, creating custom labs and solutions for various industries, with over 150 AI Agents already in operation. The company’s leadership has repeatedly emphasized that AI does not impact headcount but transforms the nature of work, allowing humans to focus on higher-value tasks.

AI is not just a strategy for TCS, but it is becoming a new growth driver for global IT services corporations. Accenture, a leading consulting and IT services company, recorded $1.5 billion in new GenAI contracts in Q3 2025 alone, bringing the total AI contract value for the last three quarters to $4.1 billion. AI-related revenue significantly contributed to their quarterly revenue of $17.78 billion, an 8% increase year-over-year. To capitalize on this growth momentum, Accenture established the “Reinvention Services” unit dedicated to integrating AI into clients’ strategies, technologies, and operations. According to CEO Julie Sweet, GenAI is not merely a short-term trend but has become a “new revenue pillar.”

AI Transforms IT Services

According to McKinsey, the advent of AI introduces the concept of “Superagency”: human + AI can accelerate innovation, boost productivity, and create exponentially greater impact. AI is likened to a new “super tool,” following historical milestones such as the steam engine, the Internet, and smartphones.

As AI transforms labor productivity, the way of working for positions in the IT services industry also evolves. Programmers, testers, and others now have AI automating repetitive tasks, allowing humans to focus on creativity, control, and decision-making. A 2023 study by GitHub found that programmers using Copilot completed tasks 55.8% faster than the control group not using the tool. Microsoft’s research in collaboration with Accenture and Avanade revealed that employees using Copilot and AI agents saved an average of 121 minutes per week, equivalent to 97 hours per year per employee, resulting in a 16% improvement in output quality and productivity.

In Vietnam, technology enterprises have also quickly embraced and applied this trend. FPT, Vietnam’s leading technology corporation, considers AI as a strategic pillar and has extensively applied it to increase internal productivity before deploying it for clients. A notable example is CodeVista, an AI-integrated programming tool that enables programmers to communicate safely with Generative AI models, resulting in a 60% increase in productivity. Approximately half of FPT’s programmers, equivalent to 10,000 people, are currently using this tool. In just one year, CodeVista has generated 1.5 million lines of code, equivalent to saving about 6,000 workdays in real projects. These achievements not only optimize FPT’s software development process but also lay the foundation for serving global customers faster, more cost-effectively, and with higher quality.

AI is ushering in a new approach, becoming the driving force for the IT services industry with the “Human + AI” model. Businesses that leverage AI not only optimize their internal operations but also create breakthrough services for their customers. This is the path that technology enterprises are collectively pursuing to assert their role in the digital age.
