On August 24, 2025, Hanoi will host the second rehearsal for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. To ensure traffic order, safety, and prevent congestion, the Hanoi Police have announced traffic diversions and alternative routes for vehicles as follows:

1. Time for traffic diversion and route arrangement for vehicles to serve the second rehearsal: From 12:30 on August 24, 2025 (4 hours and 30 minutes earlier than previously announced) to 02:00 on August 25, 2025.

2. Roads that are completely closed to all vehicles (except for vehicles with security badges and those serving the anniversary):

2.1. Roads including Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (from Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Chua Mot Cot, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Cua Bac, and Yen Phu.

Complete closure from 12:30 on August 24, 2025, to 02:00 on August 25, 2025.

2.2. Roads including Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoi Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Doi Can, Doc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien), Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from the State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Lang (from Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung). The road closure will be arranged as follows:

– Intermittent closure from 12:30 to 16:30 on August 24, 2025 (based on task requirements and actual situations, during this period, functional forces will arrange traffic diversion for vehicles to ensure suitability).

– Complete closure throughout the period from 16:30 on August 24, 2025, to 02:00 on August 25, 2025.

3. Roads with temporary restrictions based on vehicle types:

– Roads inside Ring Road 1 (except for roads with complete closure as mentioned in item 2): Temporary restriction for all types of vehicles (except for vehicles with security badges, those serving the anniversary, priority vehicles, vehicles on official duty, buses, garbage trucks, and vehicles dealing with incidents and problems).

– Roads in the area between Ring Road 1 and Ring Road 2 (except for roads with complete closure as mentioned in item 2): Temporary restriction for trucks with a designed load capacity of 1.5 tons or more and passenger cars with 16 seats or more (except for vehicles with security badges, those serving the anniversary, priority vehicles, vehicles on official duty, buses, garbage trucks, and vehicles dealing with incidents and problems).

4. Roads where the Hanoi Police recommend participants to restrict their travel:

– Roads in the area between Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3: Restricted for passenger cars with fewer than 16 seats, private cars, and motorcycles.

– Roads in the area between Ring Road 1 and Ring Road 2: Restricted for all types of vehicles.

– Roads from Ring Road 3 to the outskirts (including National Highway 32, Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Thang Long Boulevard, Lang Van Hoa Road, National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 6, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, Provincial Road 419, Provincial Road 429, Vo Nguyen Giap, and National Highway 18): Restricted for all types of vehicles (except for buses, garbage trucks, vehicles dealing with incidents and problems, vehicles with security badges, and those serving the anniversary).

Note:

– Ring Road 1: Nguyen Khoai Dyke – Tran Khat Chan – Dai Co Viet – Xa Dan – O Cho Dua – La Thanh – Cau Giay – Buoi – Lac Long Quan – An Duong Vuong – Au Co – Nghi Tam – Yen Phu – Dyke 401 – Nguyen Khoai Dyke.

– Ring Road 2: Vinh Tuy Bridge – Minh Khai – Dai La – Truong Chinh – Lang – Buoi Flyover – Vo Chi Cong – Nhat Tan Bridge – Vo Nguyen Giap – Truong Sa – Dong Tru Bridge – Ly Son – Nguyen Van Linh – Dam Quang Trung – Vinh Tuy Bridge.

– Ring Road 3: National Highway 1 – Thanh Tri Bridge – Do Muoi – Hoang Liet – Phap Van Flyover – Nghiem Xuan Yem – Nguyen Xien – Khuat Duy Tien – Pham Hung – Pham Van Dong – Tan Xuan – Vo Van Kiet.

5. During the road closure and vehicle restriction period, the Hanoi Police arrange alternative routes for vehicles as follows:

(1) Cars that are temporarily restricted from National Highway 5, Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway, and Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway to Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway should travel through Thanh Tri Bridge → Ring Road 3 Flyover → Do Muoi Junction → Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway.

(2) Vehicles from eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, etc.) traveling to northern, western, and northwestern provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, etc.) should take the following routes: Phu Dong Bridge → Thanh Tri Bridge → Ring Road 3 Flyover → Thang Long Bridge → Vo Van Kiet…; or from National Highway 5 → Nguyen Duc Thuan → Thanh Tri Bridge Approach → Phu Dong Bridge → Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway → Hanoi – Thai Nguyen Expressway to Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang provinces. The return routes are similar.

(3) Vehicles from northern provinces (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, etc.) traveling to southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, etc.) should take the following route: National Highway 2 → Vo Van Kiet → Thang Long Bridge → Ring Road 3 Flyover → Do Muoi Junction → Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway.

(4) Trucks with a designed load capacity of 10 tons or more traveling on Ring Road 3 Flyover should avoid descending at intersections on Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, and Nguyen Xien and comply with the instructions of functional forces.

(5) Do not stop or park vehicles on bridges, flyovers, and roads that are completely or temporarily closed to traffic.

(6) People from other provinces and localities coming to Hanoi to participate in the anniversary activities are recommended to use passenger cars, public transport, and especially the elevated train (Catin-Hanoi Line 2A: from Yen Nghia Station in Ha Dong to Cat Linh Station in O Cho Dua Ward; Nhon-Hanoi Line 3: from Nhon Station in Tay Tuu Ward to Cau Giay Station in Giang Vo Ward); walk on some streets in Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha, and around Ba Dinh Square; follow the instructions of functional forces, stand on the pavement, and not crowd or spill onto the road, obstructing marching troops, parade floats, and processions. When returning, please follow the instructions of the functional forces.

Note: The time of road closure, temporary restriction, and vehicle restriction may change and be adjusted to suit the program of the Organizing Committee of the Anniversary.
