Ranking 5th in the list of top retailers contributing to the state budget (actual payment in 2024) by CafeF, Tasco currently distributes 16 automotive brands through approximately 150 showrooms nationwide, while making notable moves to expand in both the upstream and downstream of the automotive industry in recent years.
Conquering Customers from Small “Touchpoints”
While initially starting as a used car trading platform of Tasco, Carpla Service’s logo has been increasingly visible in the workshops of Geely and Lynk & Co (two brands officially distributed by Tasco). This new workshop model is being applied across Tasco’s system.

Not stopping there, Carpla Service has recently been recruiting for its automatic car wash system project on its official channels, starting in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and then expanding to other provinces. Prior to this, they were hiring for tow truck driver positions for their nationwide workshops.
These moves not only indicate an expansion in downstream distribution activities but also fulfill the statement made by Mr. Vu Dinh Do, Chairman of Tasco’s Board of Directors, at this year’s Annual General Meeting: “The most frequent need of car owners is car washing… car washing is an important touchpoint with customers.” It is through these seemingly small touchpoints that Tasco can build customer loyalty and foster long-term relationships.
Mr. Do also affirmed that vertical integration would not be feasible without a comprehensive digital platform that connects rescue and repair service partners nationwide. Tasco itself possesses such an infrastructure.
Smart Transportation Infrastructure
In parallel with its automotive business, Tasco has been vigorously developing smart transportation infrastructure through its member company, VETC. Currently, VETC holds 75% of the ETC market share, connecting 126 toll stations and 711 highway lanes, serving over 3.7 million car owners and processing approximately 2 million transactions per day.
According to Government Decree 119/2024, from October 1, 2025, all vehicle owners must use a transportation account instead of the traditional ETC account when passing through toll stations. This is a significant step towards tighter and more transparent traffic management, paving the way for smart city development. In addition to the benefits related to state management, this policy also presents novel business opportunities for VETC and other service providers.

VETC is researching and developing smart application services to provide users with a convenient and optimized experience.
Beyond road toll collection, Tasco, through the VETC application, can collaborate to deploy various other services, such as electric vehicle charging fees at car dealerships, developing cashless parking lots, and integrating payments through e-wallets. VETC is now not just a “small change wallet” for transportation but also a platform to connect and serve customers throughout their car ownership journey.
It is evident that Tasco operates a unique, multi-dimensional ecosystem, tightly connecting the automotive market with smart transportation infrastructure. With the integrated “One Tasco” model, the company not only expands its business scale but also pioneers in creating smart, green, and sustainable mobility experiences. They are also working with their strategic partner, Geely, a leading name in the global automotive industry, on a CKD assembly plant project in Vietnam.
In the context of Vietnam’s rapidly growing automotive market, along with urbanization and national digital transformation trends, Tasco is well-positioned to seize breakthrough opportunities and contribute to shaping a smart mobility future in Vietnam.
