At a meeting with the Steering Committee 751, the Khanh Hoa provincial authorities reported that there are over 240 stagnant and low-efficiency projects in the province, many of which require special mechanisms from the Central Government or fall under the scope of Resolution 170/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly. The frozen capital is estimated at approximately VND 156,000 billion.

The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the locality’s serious implementation of the Politburo’s directives and its proactive establishment of a provincial-level Steering Committee to initially inspect, classify, and handle the projects. However, he emphasized the huge workload ahead and called for strong determination and close coordination between the province and relevant ministries and sectors.

The Steering Committee 751, established by the Prime Minister on April 11, with the Deputy Prime Minister as its head, is tasked with proposing solutions to handle complicated projects involving public investment, domestic private investment, and FDI. During the meeting, the ministries and sectors provided suggestions for each group of projects, including those with legal entanglements, pending inspection, with inspection conclusions, or related to planning issues.

Many opinions urged Khanh Hoa to promptly form task forces to proactively handle projects with sufficient legal grounds and classify the authority to resolve them to prevent new violations.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that thoroughly handling stagnant projects is not only about unblocking capital but also an important political task, helping to purify the investment environment and strengthen the trust of businesses and people. He requested a comprehensive inspection of problematic projects, clear classification, and feasible solutions. For matters permitted by law, maximum facilitation should be provided to investors.

Before the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected two large-scale projects with many difficulties: the Con Tan Lap Residential Area and the My Gia New Urban Area in Nha Trang city.
