The founder of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) and Chairman, Mr. Tran Ba Duong, shared that in the company’s 5-year strategy (2023-2027), the group aims to establish an integrated production, business, and management model, complemented by a comprehensive industrialization and digitalization approach.
According to Mr. Duong, this goal has been achieved five months ahead of schedule, with a new streamlined structure and a partial digitalization transition plan set to conclude by the end of 2025. The next crucial and inevitable step, he emphasized, is to focus on human resources, forming a lean and adaptable leadership and management team suited for a comprehensive digitalization governance model from now until 2027.
Restructuring Goes Hand in Hand with Streamlining
Mr. Tran Ba Duong sought the agreement of all staff members with this strategy, acknowledging that the personnel arrangement process would directly impact individuals but was necessary for the company’s growth. He added that many long-serving leaders had voluntarily retired to make way for younger successors, an admirable sacrifice.
The group’s leadership also emphasized the need for objectivity, transparency, and fairness in the evaluation and arrangement of personnel to build a team that upholds traditions while remaining dynamic and adaptable to developmental trends.
High-Level Leadership Changes
In line with the restructuring, the group announced several personnel changes. Mr. Pham Van Tai stepped down as CEO after seven years, with Chairman Tran Ba Duong taking on the role. Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Mot, Senior Director of Culture and Communications, also left his position.
Three new Vice Presidents were appointed: Mr. Nguyen Quang Bao, Mr. Tran Bao Son, and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tue, who were previously leaders in the group’s automotive, agricultural, and infrastructure sectors. The group also appointed new directors for finance and human resources.
Billionaire Tran Ba Duong emphasized that the streamlining and reorganization of personnel marked an important step toward the group’s new development phase. With discipline, responsibility, and consensus, THACO’s leadership expects the group to continue making significant contributions to the economy in the context of deep digitalization and integration.
