“Major Bank Auctions Off $7 Million Debt of Real Estate Tycoon in Quang Ninh Province”

The BIDV is auctioning off a combined debt of VND 173 billion from the Ha Long Port Business Joint Stock Company and the Southeast Asia Logistics Joint Stock Company.

Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) announced on August 22 that it would auction off the debts of Ha Long Port Business Joint Stock Company and Southeast Asia Logistics Joint Stock Company.

As of July 14, 2025, the total outstanding debt of the two companies amounted to VND 173 billion. The debt of Ha Long Port Business JSC was over VND 96 billion, while that of Southeast Asia Logistics JSC was nearly VND 76.87 billion, including principal, interest, and overdue penalty interest.

The starting price for the auction of these debts, which are being sold together and not separately, is nearly VND 155.66 billion.

The collateral provided by Ha Long Port Business JSC includes several land-use rights and ownership certificates for houses and other assets attached to the land. These certificates were issued by the Ha Long city government and the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment at various dates between 2010 and 2019, with land areas ranging from 71.3 m2 to 39,598 m2.

Ha Long Port Business JSC is located at the Hoanh Bo Comprehensive Port Project in Quang Ninh province and is directed by Mr. Le Quang Trung.

On the other hand, Southeast Asia Logistics JSC, directed by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Huy, has provided collateral in the form of land-use rights and ownership certificates for houses and other assets attached to the land. These certificates were issued by the Quang Ninh provincial government and the Ha Long city government between 1999 and 2018, with land areas ranging from 60 m2 to 99 m2.

Additionally, the company has offered a mining license for sand and gravel within the boundaries of a project in Thong Nhat ward, Ha Long city, as well as all shares owned by Southeast Asia Logistics JSC, as part of the debt collateral.
