Mr. Le Thanh Than Makes a Comeback
Mr. Le Thanh Than: A Resurgence
In recent times, Mr. Le Thanh Than, often referred to as the “Cane Billionaire,” has made a surprising comeback after years of absence. Specifically, on August 20, the authorities of Tam Hung, Hanoi, had a working session with the Muong Thanh Group to hear reports on the situation and progress of urban projects in the area.

Since July 1, 2025, Tam Hung has been formed by merging the entire natural area and population of My Hung, Tam Hung, Thanh Thuy, and Thanh Van communes (in the old Thanh Oai district).
The Muong Thanh Group, owned by Mr. Le Thanh Than, is one of the largest corporations operating in the hospitality and real estate industries, with a chain of hotels spanning from the north to the south of Vietnam and numerous large-scale urban projects.
During the working session, the Tam Hung authorities requested that the Muong Thanh Group expedite the progress of their projects, especially the My Hung urban area, which was initiated in 2008 but has been delayed. The locality is ready to create favorable conditions for the enterprise to implement and soon operate the project.
Representing the Muong Thanh Group, Mr. Le Thanh Than appreciated the attention and support of Tam Hung authorities and committed that the group would concentrate its resources, overcome difficulties, and accelerate the progress of the projects.

Mr. Le Thanh Than affirmed that Muong Thanh Group wishes to accompany the local government and people in building civilized and modern urban areas, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
The working session has provided a clear direction and demonstrated the spirit of collaboration and determination between the government and the enterprise. With the joint efforts and commitments from both sides, the urban projects in Tam Hung are expected to be strongly promoted, creating a breakthrough in the process of building the commune into a civilized and modern urban area.
Mr. Do Anh Dung – Tan Hoang Minh Group: A Resurgence
In addition to Mr. Le Thanh Than, 2025 also marks the comeback of Mr. Do Anh Dung of the Tan Hoang Minh Group.
After a long absence, the Tan Hoang Minh Group has recently made a surprising comeback in the real estate market. The enterprise has continuously carried out notable activities, such as initiating new projects. Specifically, in March 2025, the General Trading Company and Tan Hoang Minh Group officially started the construction of a residential area project at 486 Ngoc Hoi (commercial name: Greenera Southmark) in the old Thanh Tri district, Hanoi.
In April 2025, after serving his sentence and being granted a special pardon, Mr. Do Anh Dung returned as Chairman of the Tan Hoang Minh Group. Mr. Dung’s comeback marks a significant turning point, bringing new vitality to the enterprise.
Just over a month later, in early June 2025, the Group registered to pilot the construction of commercial housing in Khanh Hoa with a project named “Tan Hoang Minh Mixed-use Office, Commercial, and Luxury Apartment Building,” covering an area of 0.7 hectares with an expected investment of VND 1,800 billion.

On June 3, the leaders of the People’s Committee of Lam Dong province had a working session with the Tan Hoang Minh Group to listen to the planning ideas for a smart urban area project, applying high technology, combining tourism and film studios in Xuan Tho, Da Lat (in the old district).
The project has a survey scale of approximately 4,320 hectares and is oriented to develop according to the smart city model, integrating high technology, ecology, tourism, and international-standard film studios.
Notably, this is a restart after Lam Dong province had approved the planning research in 2021 but temporarily halted it later. According to the proposal, the urban area will consist of eight different functional subdivisions, attracting residents from all over the country.
In addition, the Tan Hoang Minh Group and Xuan Thien Group also proposed to research, survey, and establish investment projects for high-tech circular agriculture complexes in Lam Dong province.
FLC Group Returns to the Real Estate Market
Recently, another “giant” in the industry, the FLC Group, has also started to show new movements.

In early June 2025, the FLC Group held the Kick-Off ceremony for the Hausman Premium Residences project in the FLC Premier Parc urban area, Dai Mo ward (in the old Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi). This project marks the group’s return to the Hanoi real estate market.
Earlier, in April 2025, the old Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province) agreed to allow FLC Group to research and develop planning ideas for an airport urban area in Cat Tan commune, Phu Cat district (old name).
Accordingly, the research and survey period for planning ideas is two months. During the implementation process, FLC needs to coordinate closely with the Department of Construction and relevant agencies and localities to ensure compliance with regulations and address issues related to national defense, security, environment, and social welfare.

Prof. Dang Hung Vo believes that the current increase in house prices is mainly due to “artificial prices” and not real prices. The contradiction between high prices and low transactions goes against the criteria of the market mechanism.

A wave of private “giants” are pouring capital into aviation infrastructure, from constructing new airports to expanding existing ones across the country.
