Companies Finalizing Cash Dividend Payouts for the Week of Aug 25-29

For the upcoming week, the company with the most generous cash dividend payout is HGM (Hanoi Machinery and Mineral Resources) with a dividend ratio of 45%, which is the first dividend installment for 2025. With over 12.6 million shares in circulation, HGM will distribute approximately VND 57 billion in dividends for this installment. The ex-dividend date is Aug 27, and the expected payment date is from Sep 26 onwards.

This high interim dividend for 2025 comes immediately after HGM announced its semi-annual financial results, with VND 433 billion in net revenue and VND 382 billion in pre-tax profits, surpassing the full-year plan by 8% and 54%, respectively.

In 2024, despite setting a minimum cash dividend target of 50%, HGM distributed dividends in three installments with a total ratio of 138% (equivalent to VND 13,800 per share) due to record-breaking business performance in terms of revenue and profits. For 2025, the minimum cash dividend ratio remains at 50%. With the interim dividend payout following the Company’s outperformance in just six months, HGM is likely to have another dividend installment later this year.

Ranking second is SZL with a dividend ratio of 30% (VND 3,000 per share) for the 2024 dividend. With more than 27.3 million shares in circulation, Sonadezi Long Thanh is expected to distribute approximately VND 82 billion. The ex-dividend date is Aug 28, and the payment date is expected to be Sep 19, 2025.

SZL has been consistently paying cash dividends to its shareholders for 17 years, from 2008 to 2024, with ratios ranging from 14% to 40%, with 2021 being the year of the highest dividend payout. For 2025, the Company plans to distribute dividends at a ratio of 25%.

Next is PCE, finalizing the 2024 dividend payout with a ratio of 25% (VND 2,500 per share), equivalent to a total distribution of VND 25 billion. The ex-dividend date is Aug 28, and the expected payment date is Sep 26.

Despite ranking fourth with a dividend ratio of 21% (VND 2,100 per share), PV GAS stands out due to its substantial cash payout of nearly VND 4,920 billion. The ex-dividend date is Aug 28, and the expected payment date is Nov 25. This is the lowest dividend ratio in the past six years, and due to the specific shareholder structure, with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) holding 95.76% of the capital, most of the dividend cash flow will go to the state-owned shareholder.

It is also worth noting that GAS has continuously issued bonus shares in the past two years. Along with the dividends, GAS will also issue bonus shares this time with a ratio of 3%, meaning that for every 100 shares held, shareholders will receive 3 new shares. The expected issuance volume is nearly 70.3 million shares, increasing the charter capital to nearly VND 24,130 billion.

For the upcoming week, two companies will finalize the dividend payout in shares: GDA (30%) and BMK (18%). The corresponding ex-dividend dates are Aug 26 and Aug 25, respectively.
