The authorities of Thai Nguyen province recently held a meeting with departments, units, and local authorities to review the progress of compensation, land clearance, support, and resettlement for two industrial park projects, including the Yen Binh 3 Industrial Park.

According to reports, over 295 hectares of land will need to be cleared for the Yen Binh 3 Industrial Park, affecting nearly 1,350 households.

As of now, over 183 hectares of land have been surveyed. To ensure the timely completion of land clearance, the local authorities are developing resettlement areas such as Hong Tien, Dong Tien, and Tien Phong, as well as some resettlement areas in Diem Thuy commune.

The Yen Binh 3 Industrial Park is one of the key projects of Thai Nguyen province. The project is invested by BMK Group Joint Stock Company with a total investment of nearly VND 4,140 billion and is planned on an area of nearly 295 hectares in Diem Thuy and Nga My communes (formerly Phu Binh district).

The project was inaugurated by the investor in April 2025 and is oriented to become a modern and synchronous industrial park.

Once completed, the project is expected to create numerous job opportunities for local and nearby residents, contribute to social security, and positively impact the socio-economic development of the locality…

At the meeting, representatives of departments, sectors, and localities discussed and pointed out difficulties in the site clearance process for the project, such as land origin determination, compensation rates, and resettlement area implementation. They also proposed solutions to speed up the progress.

Concluding the meeting, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee requested that the investor coordinate closely with local authorities and departments to expedite land clearance and resettlement arrangement. In parallel, they should promote the potential of industrial parks to attract investors.

The Provincial Land Development Center was assigned to continue coordinating with localities to determine land prices, origins, and resettlement needs of people in the project area as a basis for building concentrated resettlement areas.

Based on the resettlement needs, localities need to coordinate with departments and sectors to determine suitable land funds, avoiding the situation of building resettlement areas that people do not live in.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned to coordinate and guide land-related procedures, regularly monitor the situation, and remove difficulties and obstacles.

The Department of Construction will support localities in developing detailed plans for resettlement areas, determining the necessity, and investing in infrastructure for the projects.

Thai Nguyen province currently has about 19 industrial parks with a total area of over 6,400 hectares.

In the first half of 2025, enterprises in Thai Nguyen industrial parks achieved a total revenue of about USD 16 billion and VND 390 billion from the domestic market. Export turnover is estimated at over USD 14 billion, contributing VND 3,400 billion to the state budget.

In addition, more than 9,200 new jobs were created, contributing to social security and improving the quality of life for local residents.
