Ho Chi Minh City unveiled a stunning new landmark on August 19, 2025 – the Saigon Marina International Financial Centre (Saigon Marina IFC). Located at 02 Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, the inauguration ceremony was a prestigious affair.

The event was graced by senior Party and State leaders, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee representatives, central ministries, foreign consulates, and international organizations. Also in attendance were executives from top multinational corporations, financial institutions, and prominent domestic enterprises.

The launch is a significant part of Vietnam’s 80th National Day celebrations and is one of 80 key projects marking this momentous occasion. It also signifies a pivotal step towards establishing Ho Chi Minh City as an international financial hub.

Saigon Marina IFC is an impressive 55-story tower with five basement levels, boasting over 106,000 square meters of space. Approximately 87,000 square meters is dedicated to Grade A office space, with the remaining area offering a diverse mix of retail, dining, conference facilities, and premium amenities. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the building incorporates energy-efficient solutions and dedicates over 30% of its area to green space, setting a new benchmark for sustainable high-rises in Vietnam.

With its LED façade and musical fountain plaza, Saigon Marina IFC is a striking addition to the city’s skyline. Furthermore, it is Vietnam’s first project built under the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model, featuring direct underground access to Ba Son Station of Metro Line 1.

Strategically located and equipped with world-class facilities, the tower is poised to become a thriving hub for multinational corporations, financial institutions, consulates, and major events. Developed with consultancy from Singapore’s Keppel Corporation, Saigon Marina IFC will foster a dynamic financial–commercial ecosystem in the heart of the city.

In line with Resolution 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, Ho Chi Minh City is being positioned as a regional financial center to attract global investment and capital flows. Saigon Marina IFC is a pivotal step in this strategy, offering cutting-edge infrastructure for financial services and innovation.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc addresses the gathering

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, in his speech at the event, emphasized the significance of Saigon Marina IFC, stating, “Saigon Marina IFC represents the first step in establishing Ho Chi Minh City’s International Financial Centre – a powerful driver for Vietnam’s economy and our nation’s integration with the global community.”

Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairwoman of HDBank, added a poignant note, saying, “Today, the past and present come together as we step into the future. From the Ba Son shipyard workers of yesteryear to today’s engineers and experts, we are all united by a shared vision of a prosperous Vietnam that reaches new heights on the world stage.”

With its forward-thinking vision, Saigon Marina IFC is destined to become not just an architectural landmark but also the new “heartbeat” of Ho Chi Minh City – a symbol of economic dynamism and a gateway to global integration.
