On August 23rd, the Long Thanh International Airport Job Fair took place at 3A Park, An Phuoc, Dong Nai Province, offering a plethora of career opportunities.

Over 3,000 Job Opportunities

The job fair witnessed the participation of 7 prominent employers, offering a staggering total of more than 3,000 job openings. These included well-known companies such as Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietjet Air), Vietnam Ground Services Company (VIAGS), Saigon Ground Services Company (SAGS), Vietnam Airlines Catering Services Company (VACS), Vietnam In-flight Service Joint Stock Company (VINACS), Tan Son Nhat Airport Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO), and Vietnam Aviation Academy.

Thousands of job seekers flocked to the Long Thanh Airport Job Fair in search of employment opportunities.

Leaders of the Dong Nai People’s Committee and representatives from various departments and sectors attended the Long Thanh Airport Job Fair.

Among the participating companies, VIAGS stood out with its impressive recruitment drive, aiming to fill over 400 positions across a range of roles. These included customer service agents, load controllers, flight dispatchers, ground equipment maintenance technicians, specialists and officers, IT professionals, ground equipment operators, baggage and cargo handlers, and aircraft cabin cleaners.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Deputy General Director of ACV, delivered a speech at the job fair.

The event attracted a diverse range of job seekers, including Nguyen Huu Duc Tai, a final-year student at the International Lilama 2 Vocational College in Dong Nai. Tai enthusiastically shared his motivation for attending the job fair, expressing his desire to explore the requirements and opportunities offered by all participating companies. Confident in his language skills and academic performance, Tai believed that he met the qualifications sought by employers, including VIAGS.

Prioritizing Locals Who Relocated for the Long Thanh Airport Project

Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Deputy General Director of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), emphasized in his opening remarks that the presence of the participating companies not only expanded career opportunities for job seekers but also demonstrated a spirit of cooperation and sustainable development within the aviation ecosystem.

“Human resources are the key to the success of Long Thanh Airport,” asserted Mr. Cuong. He further highlighted ACV’s commitment to not only recruiting but also accompanying and supporting employees throughout their professional journey, including skill enhancement and career development. ACV aims to foster an empowering work environment where individuals can maximize their potential and contribute to the competitiveness of Long Thanh Airport upon its commencement of operations.”

Mr. Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, suggested prioritizing job opportunities for locals who relocated due to the Long Thanh Airport construction.

Mr. Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, acknowledged the significance of the job fair in connecting students, job seekers, and leading aviation ground services companies. He emphasized that such events provide valuable opportunities for potential candidates to interact directly with top employers in the aviation industry, while also helping businesses find suitable talent to meet their specific needs.

Mr. Son requested that training institutions collaborate closely with the Long Thanh International Airport to ensure a sufficient supply of well-trained and qualified human resources for the aviation sector. He further suggested strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and aviation companies, incorporating more practical training, and providing internships for students within the airport ecosystem to enhance their understanding of industry processes and technologies.

Additionally, Mr. Son advocated for prioritizing the employment of locals from the Long Thanh area, who had relocated due to the airport construction project, as a means of providing long-term livelihood support and fostering a sense of community development.

The Vice Chairman also instructed the Department of Education and Training to collaborate on finalizing the proposal for a resolution on training human resources for the Long Thanh Airport for the 2026-2030 period, which will be submitted to the Provincial People’s Council for approval in the near future.

Recruiters from various companies provided career counseling and guidance to students.

Students eagerly filled out application forms for the various job openings.

The booths of the aviation companies were packed with interested individuals seeking information about career prospects.

The International Lilama 2 Vocational College has forged strategic partnerships with ACV, Vietnam Aircraft Technical Company, and Saigon Ground Services Company to offer specialized training in aircraft maintenance and logistics within the airport ecosystem. Graduates who meet the language proficiency and other requirements set by these companies are guaranteed employment and placement.

Looking ahead, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, Principal of the International Lilama 2 Vocational College, proposed several initiatives to effectively address the human resource needs of the Long Thanh Airport. These included organizing networking events between aviation service companies, local communities, and job seekers, as well as advocating for financial support and tailored training programs for locals from the Long Thanh area through collaboration with the Long Thanh Party Committee and the Dong Nai Party Committee.
