On August 26, VinFast, the electric vehicle manufacturer owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, announced the launch of two electric bus models at Busworld Europe 2025, taking place from October 3 to 9 in Brussels, Belgium. This is the largest bus and coach exhibition in the world.
Introducing Two Electric Bus Models in Europe
Specifically, VinFast will showcase the EB 8 and EB 12, pure electric bus models at the event. The EB 12 has obtained UNECE and CE certifications, meeting the stringent technical standards of the European Union. From dimensions and configuration to charging compatibility, the bus is designed exclusively for European infrastructure and regulations, ensuring seamless integration into the public transportation system.
Both models are equipped with LFP batteries from leading manufacturers such as CATL and Gotion, offering a maximum capacity of 422 kWh. This enables a practical range of up to 400 kilometers. The fast-charging technology, with a capacity of 140 kW, ensures a full charge within just 2 to 3 hours.
VinFast aims to cater to the demand for green transportation and expand its presence in the European market by collaborating with local transportation and infrastructure partners.

VinFast’s electric bus
Prior to its international debut, VinFast’s electric buses have been operational in Vietnam for the past four years, establishing the country’s first electric bus line. The company currently has an annual production capacity of 1,500 to 2,000 buses and has developed a synchronized ecosystem for operation and maintenance. This foundation bolsters the company’s confidence in expanding into developed markets.
Previously, VinFast also introduced its VF 6 and VF 8 electric SUV models in Europe, aligning with its strategy to build a comprehensive electric transportation ecosystem.
VinFast Introduces Parking Fees for Overstaying
On the same day, V-Green, the company operating VinFast’s charging stations, founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, announced adjustments to the free parking time after charging. Accordingly, individual customers and GSM (Xanh SM) drivers will now have only 10 minutes of free parking time after charging, instead of the previous 30 minutes. A fee of 1,000 VND per minute will be charged for overstaying, applicable to all V-Green’s DC fast-charging stations.
