In Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet Air and Vice Chairwoman of HDBank, attended the inauguration of the Saigon Marina International Financial Centre (Saigon Marina IFC) tower.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao asserted that the private economic sector, in the spirit of Resolution 68, is pioneering. More than 250 projects inaugurated and launched across the country today are vivid proof of the solidarity, aspiration, and resilience of the Vietnamese nation.

Ms. Thao also expressed her hope that the Saigon Marina IFC tower would become a hub for banks, financial institutions, technology corporations, and logistics companies, with over 10,000 professionals working there daily.

“Today, HDBank and Vikki Bank are launching a new-generation digital banking application and a core banking project with advanced, safe, intelligent, and feature-rich technology for millions of customers. As the founder of Vietjet airline, I would like to congratulate the Long Thanh Hangar and Gia Binh Airport projects, which are expanding Vietnam’s aviation industry,” said the female billionaire.

According to her, the new building will help channel international capital into Vietnam, opening new doors for global investors and turning IFC into a bridge connecting our economy with the world.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong attended the inauguration of the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi, as the project investor’s representative. The 90-hectare project was implemented in less than ten months, considered an exceptionally rapid construction pace in the construction industry.

At the event, General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the First-Class Labor Order to Vingroup for its outstanding achievements in directing and implementing the project, contributing to the economic and social development of the capital and the country.

After its inauguration, the center became the venue for the Exhibition of National Achievements with the theme “80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness” and a series of large-scale cultural and artistic events.

In Bac Ninh, Mr. Ho Hung Anh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gia Binh International Airport as Chairman of Techcombank’s Board of Directors. With a total investment of nearly VND 121,000 billion, this project is considered the largest in this groundbreaking ceremony.

The airport has a scale of about 1,500 hectares and is designed with a capacity of up to 30 million passengers per year in the period of 2021–2030 and about 50 million passengers per year by 2050, surpassing existing airports in the northern region. With four take-off and landing runways and a vast parking apron, Gia Binh Airport is expected to become one of the most important aviation gateways in the country in the future.

In Dak Lak, Hoa Phat Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction and infrastructure investment project of Hoa Tam Industrial Park (IP) – Phase 1 and Bai Goc Port.

Hoa Tam IP covers an area of about 491 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 4,000 billion, and is synchronously planned in terms of infrastructure. This project aims to form the Hoa Phat Gang Steel Complex with an expected capacity of 6 million tons per year.

Located in Hoa Xuan Commune, Bai Goc Port is developed in two phases, with a total investment of about VND 24,000 billion. The port is oriented to directly serve Hoa Tam IP and meet the demands of oil refining, metallurgy, and energy projects in the region.

According to the design, the port includes 13 dedicated berths for vessels up to 250,000 DWT; six general berths for 50,000 DWT vessels; six liquid/gas berths for 50,000 DWT vessels; and one SPM. Before 2030, the port is expected to handle about 26 million tons of cargo per year.

According to the latest update from Forbes, Vietnam has four representatives on the list of global billionaires, with total assets of tens of billions of USD, spanning various business fields.

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, remains the richest man in Vietnam, ranked 220th in the world, with a net worth of $12.2 billion. Mr. Vuong, 57, operates in various sectors, including real estate, industry, technology, and services.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet’s Board of Directors, ranks 1,045th with $3.7 billion, an increase of $46 million from the previous period. Ms. Thao, 55, is Vietnam’s first self-made female billionaire, closely associated with the aviation industry and numerous financial, real estate, and other investments.

Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, has a net worth of $2.8 billion, ranking 1,384th. At 64, Mr. Long is dubbed the “Steel King” of Vietnam, leading Hoa Phat to become the country’s largest steel producer.

Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank, ranks 1,480th with a net worth of $2.6 billion, an increase of $99 million or nearly 4%. At 55, he focuses on finance, banking, and consumer sectors. Compared to the same period last year, the total assets of Vietnamese billionaires remain stable, with Mr. Ho Hung Anh recording the most significant increase.
