Sun Group’s Collaboration with CAE and EHL to Establish Sun Aviation Academy and Sun Tourism Academy

In a significant move, Sun Group has entered into a partnership with Canadian Aviation Electronics Ltd (CAE), a renowned Canadian corporation with over 75 years of experience and a global network of training centers across 40 countries.

Together, they will develop the Sun Aviation Academy, aiming to establish a world-class aviation training center in Vietnam. The curriculum will comply with the regulations of Vietnam’s Civil Aviation Authority and international standards set by ICAO and IATA, covering pilot, flight attendant, and ground staff training. Apart from catering to Sun Group’s internal requirements, the academy is envisioned to become a leading provider of high-quality human resources for the domestic and regional aviation industry.

In the tourism sector, Sun Group is collaborating with EHL Hospitality Business School (Switzerland), a top-ranked institution in hospitality and leisure management according to QS World University Rankings. With EHL’s expertise, the Sun Tourism Academy is set to offer internationally accredited programs that blend theory with hands-on experience in the service, entertainment, and hospitality ecosystem that Sun Group operates across Vietnam’s prominent destinations.

The simultaneous announcement of these two international academies comes at a pivotal time when the demand for highly skilled human resources in Vietnam’s aviation and tourism industries is surging. According to Vietnam’s General Statistics Office, the country welcomed over 11 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2025, a 23% increase compared to the same period last year. With tourism remaining a key economic driver, the industry requires a substantial workforce that meets international standards, particularly in hospitality, services, and entertainment.

Similarly, Vietnam’s aviation industry is witnessing a rebound in growth post-pandemic. Data from the Civil Aviation Authority reveals that in the first half of 2025, passenger traffic through Vietnamese airports reached approximately 41.3 million, a 10% increase from 2024, with international passengers accounting for over 23 million. The expansion of airlines, including the emergence of Sun Group’s Sun Phu Quoc Airways, underscores the heightened demand for trained pilots and specialized personnel.
