Celebrating 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness: A Grand Exhibition
Tomorrow (August 28th), the “80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness” Exhibition will officially commence at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), a top 10 global infrastructure marvel. This event is likened to a “Mountainous Country Festival.” It is also the first large-scale event held at this venue since its grand opening on August 19th.
Prior to this, the Government Office issued Document No. 418/TB-VPCP dated August 12, 2025, announcing the conclusions of the Government’s Standing Committee on preparation work for the Exhibition of National Achievements to commemorate the 80th National Day Anniversary.
One notable aspect of Document No. 418 is the issue of language representation at the Exhibition. Given the diverse audience, including both Vietnamese and international visitors, the Standing Committee instructed the addition of multiple languages on banners and posters, prioritizing the five most common languages used by the United Nations. The Government Office assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to collaborate directly with international consultants and arrange a permanent language organization at the Exhibition.

The Exhibition of National Achievements, themed “80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness,” will take place from August 28th to September 5th, 2025. It will bring together 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries and sectors, and 106 state-owned and private enterprises, totaling approximately 180 industries and over 230 booths.
The entire exhibition area is divided into two sections: indoor and outdoor. In the outdoor area, visitors can explore large-scale historical artifacts associated with the country’s development.
Notably, the exhibition center features an IL14 aircraft with the serial number VN-C482, a gift from the former Soviet Union to President Ho Chi Minh. Additionally, there is a model of the first Unity Train on the North-South route after national reunification, presented by Vietnam Railways. In the outdoor area, Vingroup showcases its comprehensive VinFast electric vehicle ecosystem.
The outdoor space also accommodates displays from the Military, Police, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and others, forming impressive large-scale blocks. There is also a culinary area featuring specialties from the 34 participating provinces and cities.

Designed with a modern touch, each province, city, ministry, and sector has its own space, showcasing their historical journey and outstanding achievements. Furthermore, the booths incorporate new technologies such as touch screens, mapping, and multimedia projections, creating dynamic and engaging visuals. For instance, visitors can experience first-hand various Vietnamese-made technological advancements, like the VinMotion human-shaped robot performance.
