The all-new 2025 Sundiro Honda Today 50 scooter has been unveiled in China, boasting a classic design and a surprisingly affordable price tag.
According to reports from China, the 2025 model of the beloved Today 50 scooter has been launched, retailing for 5,980 Chinese yuan, or approximately 22 million Vietnamese dong. This price point is significantly lower than initial estimates, which predicted a range of 7,000 to 8,000 yuan (roughly 25.7 to 29.4 million dong).
Aesthetically, the new Today 50 retains the classic, vintage-inspired design of its predecessor, with elegant silver chrome accents on the headlights adding a touch of sophistication. Its compact dimensions measure 1,626 mm in length, 658 mm in width, and 1,048 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,187 mm. Weighing in at just 79 kg and featuring a seat height of 715 mm, this scooter is easy to handle and comfortable for riders of all heights, including those as short as 1.5 meters.

The scooter is offered in three stylish color options: Fantasy White, Future Yellow, and Starry Grey. The front of the scooter features a set of classic round halogen headlights, complemented by round tail lights and turn signals, creating a cohesive retro aesthetic.
The instrument cluster on the Today 50 features a round, black-faced design that displays essential information such as speed, trip distance, and fuel level. Additionally, the scooter is equipped with an OBD system for efficient fault diagnosis and repair. The body and seat are both finished in black, with the seat providing ample cushioning for a comfortable ride. The front end is narrow and slightly raised, contributing to the scooter’s well-balanced overall appearance.

In terms of equipment, the Today 50 features inverted front shocks and a single rear shock absorber. Both wheels are fitted with cast aluminum alloy rims and tubeless tires. Despite the absence of disc brakes, the drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels provide sufficient stopping power for a scooter of this size.
Powering the Today 50 is a 50cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 3.75 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 3.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. While it may not match the performance of larger scooters like the Honda Vision or LEAD, it is more than capable of handling daily urban commutes. The scooter is equipped with a CVT transmission, offering a top speed of 50 km/h and impressive fuel efficiency of just 1.8 liters per 100 km. With a 4.7-liter fuel tank, the Today 50 can cover distances of up to 200 km on a single fill-up.
In the Vietnamese market, the Honda Today 50cc scooter is primarily available through unofficial importers, with a suggested retail price of 45 million dong.
