The Great Flood: When Hanoi’s Apartments Become Islands

The relentless downpour caused by the outer bands of Typhoon Kajiki inundated numerous apartment complexes in Hanoi, cutting off internal roads. The situation was so dire that some residences had to erect makeshift dams and barriers to prevent water from gushing into their basements.
