Although both are D-segment vehicles, their positions in the Vietnamese market are completely different. In the D-segment sedan category, the Toyota Camry remains a dominant player, consistently ranking first in the segment for an extended period. In the first half of 2025, this model accounted for 85.9% of the market share for D-segment sedans in Vietnam.
The Camry in Vietnam offers two engine options. The 2.0Q version is equipped with a 2.0L gasoline engine that delivers 169 horsepower and 206Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 2.5 HEV version features a 2.5L gasoline engine that produces 184 horsepower and 221Nm of torque, along with an electric motor that generates 134 horsepower and 202Nm of torque.

In terms of performance, the Fortuner offers three engine options: a 2.4L diesel, a 2.7L gasoline, and a 2.8L diesel. The two price-increased versions are both equipped with a 2.7L gasoline engine that generates a maximum output of 164 horsepower and a maximum torque of 245Nm, paired with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
