According to the Dong Nai Province’s Department of Construction, there is a significant need for capital to enhance connectivity within the Southeast and Southwest regions, particularly between Ho Chi Minh City and Long Thanh International Airport.
Currently, Dong Nai is collaborating with other localities on several regional connectivity infrastructure projects, including the construction of road bridges: Cat Lai, Dong Nai 2, Hieu Liem, Thanh Hoi, Xom La, Tan An, and Tan Hien, connecting to Ho Chi Minh City; Ma Da Bridge and the road linking to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4. The province has allocated over VND 24,000 billion for these projects.
Additionally, to facilitate regional transportation projects, Dong Nai’s budget also contributes to other initiatives: 50% of the site clearance cost for the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway Project (over VND 3,000 billion); 50% of the total investment in Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3 Project (nearly VND 2,000 billion); participation in the state budget for Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4 Project (over VND 14,000 billion); contribution to the provincial budget for the Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh Highway Project (approximately VND 474 billion), and the Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh Highway Project (over VND 1,200 billion). The province is also executing the upgrade and expansion of National Highway 14 from Dong Xoai to Chon Thanh (over VND 1,400 billion) and the upgrade and expansion of Provincial Road 753 (VND 247 billion).

Furthermore, to enhance connectivity between localities within the province and Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai is also implementing projects to upgrade, expand, and construct Provincial Roads 769, 773, and 770B, with a total investment of approximately VND 18,000 billion.
To secure further investment in the construction and upgrade of critical transportation projects, Dong Nai has petitioned the Central Government for financial support totaling more than VND 22,000 billion. Specifically, the province has requested funding of over VND 1,300 billion for the repair of national highways passing through the province, VND 9,300 billion for the Cat Lai Bridge Project, and approximately VND 11,300 billion for the Ma Da Bridge and road connection to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4.
