On the afternoon of August 25th, at the National Assembly House, President Tran Thanh Man received the Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Siti Rozaimeriyanty Dato Haji Abdul Rahman.

Receiving the AIPA Secretary-General Siti Rozaimeriyanty Dato Haji Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man affirmed the significance of the program organized by the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), contributing to connecting the young generation of member countries.

Emphasizing that Vietnam is an active and responsible member, always attaching importance to the role of AIPA in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region, the top legislator held that ASEAN needs to strengthen solidarity and enhance effective cooperation, while paying attention to tapping new drivers of growth such as science and technology, innovation, green transition, and digital transformation.

Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man suggested that member parliaments strengthen the exchange of information and legislative experience and promote interaction among parliamentarians of the countries, especially young parliamentarians.

The AIPA Secretary-General highly appreciated the effective coordination between the Vietnamese National Assembly and AIPA, with many initiatives contributing to ASEAN. She emphasized that the AIPA Roadshow, held for the first time in Vietnam, aims to create opportunities for young people to promote initiatives and learn from each other.
