On August 27, 2025, VinFast officially handed over a special batch of vehicles, the Lac Hong 900 LX, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve foreign dignitaries during the Grand Celebration of the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
The Lac Hong 900 LX is a limited-edition series that embodies the essence and national identity of Vietnam, becoming a new symbol of “Vietnamese Spirit in Its Fullest Glory.” It offers two versions, including the standard version and the Bulletproof version, which meets the VPAM VR7 standard, the strictest criterion for the vehicles of top world leaders.
Drawing inspiration from the legendary “Con Lac Chau Hong,” the origin of the Vietnamese nation, the Lac Hong 900 LX symbolizes the resilience, wisdom, and aspirations of the Vietnamese people in the new era. Every design element showcases the convergence of cultural heritage with global sophistication.
Both versions of the Lac Hong 900 LX share a common feature of luxurious elegance, highlighted by an extended wheelbase of 3,349 mm. The exterior design impressively honors Vietnamese roots and traditional culture, featuring a golden logo symbolizing the mythical bird, Lac, a grille reminiscent of the Dong Son Bronze Drum, and parallel bars representing Vietnamese bamboo.
The interior showcases exquisite craftsmanship with premium materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and genuine gold plating. All gold-plated details, both inside and outside the vehicle, are meticulously handcrafted, reflecting attention to detail and sophistication.
Beyond its impeccable design, the Lac Hong 900 LX boasts an opulent and highly comfortable interior. It features a super-spacious VIP seat, a classy footrest, soundproof glass partition, and modern intercom for communication between the front and rear compartments.
The Bulletproof version is fully armored, with reinforced body, frame, glass, and rear partition by INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada), a world-leading vehicle armoring company. The vehicle underwent rigorous testing at Beschussamt Ulm in Germany, enduring 440 shots at various angles and 11 under-body and roof explosions. Meeting the highest VPAM VR7 standard for VIP vehicles, the Lac Hong 900 LX Bulletproof version can withstand NATO Ball M80 rifle ammunition and DM51 grenades.
In addition to advanced safety features and run-flat tires that enable the vehicle to travel 80-100 km after a puncture, the Lac Hong 900 LX can be equipped with specialized systems such as oxygen support, integrated fire suppression, satellite phone, warning lights, and sirens, depending on specific requirements and purposes.
The first batch of Lac Hong 900 LX vehicles delivered by VinFast to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes two bulletproof and ten standard versions. Being chosen for this significant mission during the Grand Celebration of the 80th National Day is a testament to the quality, safety, and prestige of the Lac Hong 900 LX.
