On August 26, the authorities of Lạng Sơn Province hosted a meeting with the Pacific Construction Group from China.
This was the second time that Mr. Nghiêm Giới Hòa, the founder of the Pacific Construction Group, directly exchanged and worked with the authorities in Lạng Sơn Province.
During the meeting, the Lạng Sơn authorities welcomed and emphasized their focus on digital transformation and significant improvements to the business environment. They are keen on developing infrastructure, particularly transportation and industrial parks and clusters, as well as promoting border gate economic activities.
The local leaders highlighted several projects currently open for investment, including the Thái Nguyên-Lạng Sơn highway, the Lạng Sơn-Quảng Ninh highway, the standard-gauge railway upgrade project from Lạng Sơn to Hanoi, and the combined duty-free complex, dry port, urban area, and international goods storage center in Lạng Sơn.
The authorities affirmed their support for businesses and investors, including the Pacific Construction Group, by providing favorable conditions for them to visit, survey, and implement projects in the province.
Mr. Nghiêm Giới Hòa spoke about the strengths of the Pacific Construction Group in areas such as bridges, roads, offshore wind power, and smart city construction. The group is currently undertaking several projects in various provinces and cities in Vietnam.
Given Lạng Sơn’s geographical advantages, including its proximity to China and the Hữu Nghị International Border Gate, which connects China to ASEAN countries, Mr. Nghiêm Giới Hòa highly appreciated the province’s potential and expressed his belief in its remarkable development in the future.
The Pacific Construction Group expressed its interest in investing and cooperating, and plans to establish a regional representative office in Lạng Sơn Province.
During the meeting, the delegates discussed and clarified information about the projects that the Pacific Construction Group is interested in and those that Lạng Sơn Province is focusing on attracting investment for.
Both sides agreed that the Pacific Construction Group will continue to coordinate with the province to promote survey and investment activities in the area. Regarding the survey and selection of a location for the group’s regional representative office, the Lạng Sơn authorities supported this initiative and assigned the Department of Finance to be the focal point for information exchange and provide specific reports to the provincial leaders.
