Wanted: The Green City Realty Chairman Sought by Ho Chi Minh City Police

The chairman of Green City Real Estate Company has been wanted by Ho Chi Minh City Police for colluding in illegal activities.

On August 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they have issued a wanted notice for Bui Tuan Hung (born 1984), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Urban Green Real Estate Company, on charges of “fraudulent appropriation of property.”

Ho Chi Minh City Police identified that Hung directly contacted landowners to purchase multiple land plots in Tan An Hoi and Hoa Phu communes (former Cu Chi district). 

Ho Chi Minh City Police issue a wanted notice for Bui Tuan Hung

Hung was aware that Urban Green Real Estate Company had not completed the procedures for the transfer of land use rights and had not obtained permission from the authorities to subdivide the land for housing projects.

However, Hung still directed his subordinates to collaborate in distributing and selling land plots belonging to the Green City, Green Town, and Urban Green projects to customers, appropriating a total of VND 147.6 billion. Ho Chi Minh City Police have prosecuted four individuals, while Bui Tuan Hung has fled his residence.

Ho Chi Minh City Police request that the suspect, Bui Tuan Hung, turn himself in to receive lenient treatment from the state. Anyone with information on Bui Tuan Hung’s whereabouts should contact the nearest police station or the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police at 14 Doan Nhu Hai, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The officer in charge is Senior Lieutenant Ngo Van Hiep, with the phone number 0868177879.

Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh City Police are seeking victims who are individuals or entities that signed land purchase contracts and transferred money to the subjects involved in the following projects: Green City Project, Green Town Project, and Urban Green 1 Project (commercially known as Metro City and Fantasy City) by Urban Green Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Vinaland Real Estate Joint Stock Company, and Lac Viet Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company.

Victims are requested to report to the Investigation Police Agency (Team 2, PC03 Division) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, located at 14 Doan Nhu Hai, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (Investigator in charge: Senior Lieutenant Ngo Van Hiep, phone number: 0868177879), to provide information about their loss and submit relevant documents, or send a complaint along with relevant documents via postal mail, before August 31, 2025. After this deadline, the Investigation Police Agency will handle the case according to legal regulations.
