The event took place as the country is gearing up to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

Chu Van An Park, where the tree-planting activity was held, is planned to become an ecological space serving the recreational and leisure needs of the residents in the southwest of Hanoi, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

With the newly planted urban trees, the park is expected to soon become a “green lung” of the city, helping to reduce air pollution and create a pristine landscape.

Mr. Trinh Quoc Thang, Vice Chairman of Thanh Liet Ward People’s Committee, received the symbolic plaque from the representative of the TN&MT Communication Center and J&T Express Vietnam.

During the event, the organizing committee presented a symbolic plaque to the management board of Chu Van An Park, where the new urban trees will be planted.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Thanh Liet Ward People’s Committee emphasized:

“This is not only a concrete step in realizing the project of planting one billion trees but also a testament to the joint efforts of the government, businesses, and people in building a green, clean, and beautiful capital.”

J&T Express Vietnam affirmed:

“Hanoi is not only the country’s economic and social center but also a place where J&T Express has strong community engagement. Our partnership in the Hanoi Green initiative is a natural continuation of our sustainable development journey.”

The launch ceremony attracted the participation of various social groups, including volunteer youth shock brigades, women’s unions, senior citizens, and local residents.

The event attracted the participation of local residents.

The urban tree-planting program at Chu Van An Park in Hanoi is part of the “Shaping the Future – J&T Joins Forces to Plant One Billion Trees” series of programs to respond to the “Planting One Billion Trees in the Period of 2021-2025” project approved by the Prime Minister.

In 2024, J&T Express planted 15,000 new Melaleuca trees, expanding one more hectare of Melaleuca swamp forest in U Minh Thuong National Park, Kien Giang Province, making an important contribution to protecting the valuable wetland ecosystem.

Previously, in 2023, the company launched a campaign to recycle waste into school furniture and donated it to students in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bac Ninh. The campaign not only helped to green the learning space but also raised awareness among young generations about saving, reusing resources, and protecting the environment.

The rows of trees to be planted in Chu Van An Park will not only be a physical green space but also a symbol of community solidarity and unity in the journey to build a liveable, green, clean, and sustainable Hanoi.

The representative of the TN&MT Communication Center also shared:

“The important point of the tree-planting movement today is not only about the number of trees but also about raising environmental awareness among individuals and communities. We highly appreciate the contributions of enterprises like J&T Express because the engagement of the private sector creates a synergistic effect, leading to a unified force.”
