According to the Prime Minister’s dispatch, all Vietnamese citizens will receive a gift of 100,000 VND per person before September 2, 2025, either via direct transfer or in person.
Many people are curious about how to link their bank accounts to their VNeID accounts to receive the gift.
To receive this meaningful gift via bank transfer, account holders need to proactively link their bank accounts to their VNeID mobile app accounts.
On August 28, commercial banks simultaneously guided customers on how to link their social welfare accounts on VNeID to their bank accounts.
For customers who already have a bank account and the VNeID app, simply follow these four easy steps:
Step 1: Open the VNeID app on your phone.

Step 2: Go to the “Social Welfare” section.

Step 3: Select “Social Welfare Account.”

Step 4: Choose “Bank” and enter your account number to link.

For customers who have VNeID but do not have a bank account, download a bank app (of your choice) and select “Open an Account/Register for Mobile Banking.”
Once you have an account, follow the above instructions to link your social welfare account.
Note: To prevent fraud, those with existing bank accounts should only link their social welfare accounts on VNeID. If you do not have a bank account, only download a bank app from the App Store (for iOS) or CH Play/Google Play (for Android).
