Thai company SCGJWD Logistics Co., Ltd. (SJWD) has announced a collaboration with Ruiyun (HK) International Supply Chain Co., Ltd. (China) and Golden Line Services Co., Ltd. (Thailand) to establish Ruiyun International Supply Chain (Thailand) Co., Ltd. This joint venture aims to develop cross-border transportation services for temperature-controlled and general cargo between Thailand, China, and ASEAN countries.

According to the announcement, the registered capital of the joint venture reached 140 million baht (approximately US$3.9 million), with Ruiyun holding 49%, SJWD 40%, and Golden Line 11%. The initial focus will be on durian transportation from Thailand to China and electronic components from China to Thailand. The company targets revenue of over 120 million baht (US$3.3 million) in the last five months of 2025 and 560-830 million baht (US$15.6-23 million) annually from 2026 to 2029.

The partners aim to leverage complementary strengths in cold storage, logistics platforms, temperature-controlled transportation, and distribution networks. SJWD currently operates nine cold storage warehouses in six provinces of Thailand with a total capacity of over 100,000 tons and plans to expand to Surat Thani and Khon Kaen. Meanwhile, Ruiyun possesses 33 primary distribution centers and 50 secondary centers across China, serving over 220 cities and 1,600 districts through its “Lengyunbao” logistics platform. Golden Line, a subsidiary of Speed Inter Transport, specializes in cold transportation with over 20 years of experience, operating a fleet of over 700 vehicles and 300 containers.

Thailand’s durian exports to China have surged from US$1.1 billion in 2018 to US$4 billion in 2024, with expected growth of over 8% in 2025. The new venture will focus on expanding services for customers in the food and beverage industry in China while increasing the utilization of cold storage systems and extending logistics routes to ASEAN markets.

Mr. Zheng Rui Xiang, General Manager and Founder of Ruiyun Cold Chain, stated that the collaboration with SJWD and Golden Line would enhance logistics capabilities in cargo transportation between China and ASEAN. Meanwhile, Mr. Lam Cho Shing, General Manager of Speed Inter Transport, highlighted their strengths in fresh fruit import and export, as well as transportation and clearance expertise in the region.

The demand for durian consumption in China in 2025 is expected to remain strong, estimated at approximately US$8-9 billion. However, the market is facing intense competition due to the emergence of Cambodia and Malaysia as alternative sources.
