VinFast Lach Hong 900 LX – Catering to International Dignitaries
INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing is a subsidiary of INKAS Group (Canada), established in 2000. They specialize in manufacturing and customizing a diverse range of special-purpose vehicles, including armored trucks, luxury SUVs, bulletproof sedans, limousines, and other unique vehicles to meet the evolving security needs of their clients.
In addition to their nearly 46,500 m² facility in Toronto, Canada, INKAS boasts a global presence with international offices, dealerships, and authorized service centers worldwide.
The company’s vehicles can attain high protection levels, such as:
CEN 1063 BR7: The highest European standard for ballistic glass, capable of withstanding 7.62mm armor-piercing rounds.
VPAM VR7/VR9: European standards for the entire vehicle, rather than just materials. VR7 protects against high-powered rifles.
STANAG 4569 (Levels 4a/4b): NATO standards for military vehicles, evaluating resistance to mines and large explosives.
According to INKAS, their armored vehicles are operational in over 78 countries across 5 continents, including some of the most dangerous regions in the world.
Currently, the company offers bulletproof upgrades for various luxury and standard vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz (G63 AMG, S-Class, Maybach), Lexus (LX 600, GX 550), Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Cadillac Escalade, Land Rover (Range Rover, Defender), and BMW X7.
In addition to civilian vehicles, INKAS manufactures specialized vehicles such as armored cash-in-transit trucks, armored buses, and the tactical Sentry vehicle for police and special forces.

The vehicle undergoes rigorous testing for attacks with various weapons.

The Bulletproof version of Lach Hong 900 LX can withstand NATO Ball M80 rifle rounds and DM51 grenades.

The vehicle underwent rigorous testing at Beschussamt Ulm (a testing facility in Germany), involving 440 rounds fired at various positions, 11 grenade explosions under the chassis and on the roof, and more.
What is the VPAM VR7 Standard?
The Bulletproof version of VinFast’s Lach Hong meets the VPAM VR7 standard, the most stringent criterion for vehicles used by world leaders. But what does this standard entail?
VPAM BRV VR7 Edition 3 is a VPAM standard for testing the ballistic resistance of armored vehicles. What sets this standard apart is its focus on evaluating the entire vehicle rather than just individual materials. VPAM’s technicians first analyze the armor design to identify potential weaknesses. During testing, they concentrate their fire on areas believed to be vulnerable, such as joints, doors, and pillars. To pass the test and earn VPAM BRV VR certification, the vehicle must withstand all projectiles without any penetration.
The most common levels for civilian armored vehicles are:
VR7: Protects against 7.62 x 51mm and 5.56 x 45mm ammunition.
VR9: Offers higher protection, resisting 7.62 x 51 AP or .308 AP rounds from Winchester.
To showcase their quality, INKAS subjected their armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300 to rigorous ballistic tests following the VPAM VR7 standard.
According to INKAS, during the tests, the Land Cruiser 300 withstood over 780 rounds from various firearms, 6 DM51 grenades on the roof, 4 DM51 grenades under the chassis, 2 DM31 mines, and an explosion equivalent to 15kg of TNT at a 2-meter distance.
