The hybrid vehicle segment in Vietnam has witnessed significant growth in recent years, becoming an appealing choice for many consumers. In the first seven months of 2025 alone, the market-wide sales of hybrid vehicles reached 7,112 units, marking a remarkable 72% increase compared to the same period last year (according to VAMA). Toyota remains the market leader, capturing 59% of the total hybrid vehicle market share.

These figures not only reflect a growing preference for environmentally-friendly, fuel-efficient, and low-emission vehicles but also underscore Toyota’s pioneering position in the journey towards sustainable development.

Since the launch of the Corolla Cross Hybrid in 2020, Toyota has been steadfast in its goal of bringing hybrid technology closer to Vietnamese customers. Subsequently, the company introduced multiple models with HEV versions, including the Corolla Altis, Camry, Yaris Cross, Innova Cross, and Alphard, thus expanding its green vehicle offerings to cater to diverse customer segments.

This August, Toyota Vietnam reinforces its commitment to bringing green vehicles within easier reach of Vietnamese customers through valuable promotional programs. These initiatives not only address the financial challenges of purchasing a vehicle but also serve as a catalyst for wider adoption of green products. As part of this effort, customers purchasing the Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross (both gasoline and HEV versions) will receive support equivalent to 50% of the registration fee. The maximum support amounts to VND 38 million for the Yaris Cross Hybrid and up to VND 46 million for the Corolla Cross Hybrid.

Toyota Hybrid vehicles offer fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and the convenience of no plug-in charging.

In addition to the registration fee support, Toyota is also offering a large-scale promotional program for customers who trade in their old vehicles (regardless of the model) and purchase a new hybrid vehicle. This program is valid from August 1 to September 30, 2025, and applies to the Yaris Cross Hybrid, Corolla Cross Hybrid, and Innova Cross Hybrid models.

Customers participating in this program can choose from three attractive packages. The first package includes one year of Toyota Gold insurance, suitable for both individual and business customers. The second package offers an interest rate subsidy for vehicle purchases through Toyota Financial Services Vietnam (TFSVN) with a fixed rate in the first year, including a traditional package (a fixed interest rate of 1.99%/year for the first six months and 6.99%/year for the next six months) and a Balloon package (a fixed interest rate of 1.49%/year for the first six months and 6.99%/year for the next six months). The third package includes free maintenance parts for three years or 30,000km (whichever comes first), along with a set of window tint films. This policy not only reduces vehicle ownership costs but also provides peace of mind for customers during long-term use.

Testimonies from actual customers further highlight the practical value of Toyota Hybrid vehicles. Mr. Minh Hoang, a customer from Hanoi, shared that he chose the Corolla Cross Hybrid due to its fuel efficiency and smooth performance. More importantly, the vehicle does not require charging, saving him the hassle of finding charging stations or waiting for the vehicle to charge, especially in hot weather. This advantage is also acknowledged by other users who appreciate the balance that hybrid vehicles offer between fuel efficiency, convenience, and environmental friendliness.

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Thu Phuong from Ho Chi Minh City, a proud owner of the Yaris Cross Hybrid, said, “I find the Yaris Cross Hybrid ideal for city driving. It’s compact, easy to maneuver, and can run purely on electricity during slow traffic jams. I only need to refuel after driving for half a month, while the driving experience remains smooth and pleasant. What I love most is the quiet operation of the vehicle, with almost no engine noise during startup, making our family trips more comfortable.”
