From August 28 to September 5, the Vietnamese banking industry officially participated in the Exhibition of National Achievements “80 Years of Independence, Freedom and Happiness” at the National Exhibition Center (Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi). With the theme “Vietnamese Banking Industry – Proud Past, Solid Present, Shaping the Future,” the exhibition space in Hall A1 is not only a highlight in terms of content but also impresses visitors with its modern design, cutting-edge presentation technology, and unique multisensory experiences.

The Bank Rainbow, an interactive light installation simulating patterns and images from Vietnamese currency, offers a stunning visual experience. Photo taken on the evening of August 27.
One of the most attractive features is the map of Vietnam composed of circulating coins and banknotes, displayed prominently in the center of the exhibition area. This map is not just an exhibit but also a vivid symbol of the flow of currency that has accompanied the country throughout its journey of protection, construction, and development. Each coin and banknote represents a slice of history and testifies to the sovereignty and continuous innovation of Vietnam’s financial sector.
The exhibition space is divided into five thematic areas, comprehensively showcasing the formation, development, and international integration of Vietnam’s banking industry. Visitors can take a journey back in time to admire the seven sets of Vietnamese currency from 1945 to the present, discover notable monetary policies and the imprints of the Party and State’s leadership in the industry, and directly experience modern banking products and services in the interactive area.
Notably, the Bank Rainbow, an interactive light installation simulating patterns and images from Vietnamese currency, offers a stunning visual experience. As visitors walk across the rainbow, the banknotes come to life, narrating the story of banking and currency through light and color.
Thousands of Gifts at the Banking Industry Exhibition
The participation of 15 representative commercial banks further enriches the experience for visitors with interactive booths, minigames, digital financial services, and the opportunity to win thousands of attractive gifts by engaging in the exhibition’s activities. The State Bank of Vietnam also offers unique, meaningful, and surprising gifts for visitors.
This exhibition is an opportunity to honor the contributions of the banking industry to the country’s construction, from wartime to peacetime, and from resistance funds to modern economic development. Here, Vietnamese currency is not just a financial tool but also a witness to history and a symbol of an independent and strongly integrated economy.
