On August 31, the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province sent a document requesting the Government Inspectorate to suspend the inspection of eight projects that are facing difficulties and problems in the province.
This move came after a working session between the Government Inspectorate delegation and Khanh Hoa Province on August 28, aiming to help the locality focus its resources on handling the remaining projects and avoid overlap in inspection work.
Previously, according to the plan just issued by the Chief Inspector of the Government Inspectorate, the agency will directly inspect 145 projects nationwide. Of the 145 projects directly inspected by the Government Inspectorate (for projects under the management of central ministries and sectors and corporations and total companies under the management of ministries and sectors with a total investment of over VND 100 billion, and large-scale projects in localities with a total investment of over VND 1,500 billion), there are 15 projects in Khanh Hoa.

These projects have been subject to specialized inspection, including works that are slow, stagnant, prolonged, and at risk of waste and loss.
However, after a working session between the locality and the Government Inspectorate delegation, the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province proposed to the Government Inspectorate to suspend the inspection of eight projects, divided into two groups for different reasons.
The first group includes six projects that have been inspected by the Government Inspectorate and the Central Inspection Committee. The projects include: Binh Son – Ninh Chu Beach Urban Area (K2 Area) – Hacom Holdings Joint Stock Company; Phu Son Complex Villa Area – Phu Son Group Joint Stock Company; Tan Lap Con Residential Area – Song Da – Nha Trang Joint Stock Company and Song Da Thang Long Joint Stock Company; Nha Trang Commercial, Service, Finance and Tourism Urban Center (Sub-area 2A) – Phu Son Group Joint Stock Company.
In addition, the Thien Trieu Complex (Oceanus Hotel and Apartment) project of Muong Thanh Group Joint Stock Company and the Investment Construction of High-rise Housing Combined with Trade and Service project of Kim Lan Trading Joint Stock Company are also in the list of projects proposed for suspension by Khanh Hoa province.
In this group, five projects have been fully inspected according to Plan No. 1505/KH-TTCP of the Government Inspectorate. The project of Kim Lan Trading Joint Stock Company is in the process of preparing for investment, but has not been approved for basic design and construction permit due to planning adjustments.

The second group includes two projects: Dam Ca Na New Urban Area – Consortium of Tuan Dung Commercial Group Joint Stock Company – Dong Do Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company – Ministry of National Defense; Dinh River Bank New Urban Area – Consortium of Song Dinh Urban Investment and Development Joint Stock Company – TSG Vietnam Joint Stock Company – TSG Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.
Both projects have also been inspected by the Inspection Departments of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Construction, and the province. According to the report of the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the difficulties of these two projects are mainly related to site clearance and compensation, which are under the authority of the locality.
The proposal to suspend the inspection of these eight projects is considered a necessary step for Khanh Hoa to focus on resolving outstanding issues and promoting the progress of other projects in the province.
