Vietjet’s Stellar Performance in the First Half of 2025: Soaring Aircraft Orders

Vietjet operated 79,000 flights, carrying 14.4 million passengers, and contributed over VND 4,528 billion in taxes and fees to the state budget.

Aviation transport revenue reached VND 35,601 billion, with a pre-tax profit of nearly VND 1,600 billion, a 37% increase compared to the same period last year. Consolidated revenue was VND 35,837 billion, and pre-tax profit exceeded VND 1,651 billion, a significant 65% surge.

Vietjet operated 79,000 flights, carrying 14.4 million passengers and contributing more than VND 4,528 billion in taxes and fees to the state budget. The company boasts healthy financial indicators, strong liquidity, and consolidated assets surpassing VND 112,000 billion.

Investing in a Modern Fleet, Making a Global Impact

During the six-month period, Vietjet ordered 20 A330neo aircraft from Airbus, bringing the total number of A330neo orders to 40, making it the world’s largest A330neo customer.

In the span of six months, Vietjet placed an order for 20 A330neo aircraft from Airbus, bringing the total number of A330neo orders to an impressive 40. This makes Vietjet the airline with the largest A330neo order globally.

At the Paris Air Show 2025, Vietjet inked a historic deal for 100 A321neo aircraft with 50 purchase options, the industry’s biggest transaction. This monumental agreement propelled Vietjet into the top 10 airlines globally in terms of the number of aircraft ordered.

Vietjet and Rolls-Royce also finalized an order for an additional 40 Trent 7000 engines to power 20 wide-body Airbus A330neo aircraft, bringing the total number of Trent 7000 engines ordered by Vietjet to 80.

Commencing a Strategic Project in Long Thanh

Vietjet officially commenced the construction of its Aircraft Maintenance Center in Long Thanh, comprising Hangar 3 and 4, capable of simultaneously accommodating 10 aircraft for maintenance according to international standards. This project is a key initiative among the 80 constructions celebrating Vietnam’s 80th National Day.

In parallel, Vietjet implemented self-service ground handling at major airports, enhancing service quality, optimizing operations, and delivering an exceptional experience for its passengers.

Asserting International Recognition, Attracting Investments

Vietjet was recognized by AirlineRatings as the “World’s Best Low-Cost Airline.” Forbes Vietnam ranked Vietjet among the Top 5 enterprises with the highest revenue in 2024 and in the Top 50 best-listed companies in 2025.

With a robust financial foundation, a strategy for a modern fleet, and crucial infrastructure projects, Vietjet is poised for a breakthrough in the second half of 2025.
