On September 2, Ms. Bach Thi Man, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Quang Ngai Province, reported that the locality welcomed over 193,400 tourist arrivals during the four-day National Day holiday (from August 30 to September 2), a 32.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Total tourism revenue was estimated at VND 183 billion, up 35.5%.

Of this, domestic visitors accounted for more than 162,600, while international arrivals reached around 800; overnight visitors totaled over 106,200. The average room occupancy rate was 60-65%, with popular destinations like Mang Den and Ly Son achieving 95-100% occupancy.
Notable attractions included Ly Son Island, Sa Huynh, My Khe, and Mang Den, as well as community-based tourism villages such as Go Co, Bau Ca Cai, and Binh Thanh.
According to Ms. Man, the surge in visitor numbers can be attributed to the impact of administrative mergers, stimulating exploration of the newly expanded province. Additionally, well-invested destinations, diverse services, and a strategic focus on building a distinctive tourism brand have collectively enhanced Quang Ngai’s appeal as a travel destination.
“It is gratifying to see that not only famous sites but also community-based and eco-tourism initiatives are attracting visitors, generating income for ethnic minority groups, and contributing to the preservation of local culture,” emphasized Ms. Man.
Looking ahead, the tourism authority intends to continue inviting major enterprises to invest while supporting local communities in developing unique tourism products that align with the interests of the local population.
