Vietnam’s highly competitive ride-hailing market has a new player: GXE.VN, an app developed by Joint Stock Company GXE.

A standout feature of this app is its direct pricing mechanism. GXE allows users to proactively suggest prices to optimize costs for long-distance trips over 30 km. Customers propose their desired price, and drivers can either accept or negotiate.

Additionally, users can schedule rides in advance, making it convenient for fixed schedules such as airport trips, meetings, or guest pickups.

The app offers a range of transportation services, including motorbike and car rides with options ranging from 4 to 45 seats, shared rides, airport transfers, delivery services, and hourly or route-based car rentals.

Joint Stock Company GXE is headquartered in Cau Giay District, Hanoi, and was established in 2024 with initial chartered capital of VND 4.5 billion, entirely from private sources. The founder and CEO, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen (born in 1981), owns 80% of the shares, while the remaining 20% is divided equally between two other shareholders.

In March 2025, GXE underwent a change in business registration, increasing its chartered capital to VND 96 billion while maintaining 100% private capital structure.

During its development, GXE established a partnership with Gpay, a member of the 11-member ecosystem of G-Group Technology Group, well-known for its social network GAPO, online gaming platform GTV, and BEAT Network.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen, GXE initially focuses on consolidating the Vietnamese market before considering expansion into Southeast Asia, a region with similar characteristics and high growth potential.
