Mr. Doan Hoang Nam, son of Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc – Chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAGL, HOSE: HAG) has successfully purchased 25 million HAG shares through a negotiated deal on August 28, 2025, as reported in a recent filing.

With this transaction, Mr. Nam’s holdings in HAGL have increased from 27 million shares to 52 million shares, raising his ownership stake from 2.55% to 4.92%.

Based on the closing price of HAG shares on August 28, 2025, of VND 16,350 per share, Mr. Nam, son of Chairman Duc, is estimated to have invested nearly VND 408.8 billion to acquire this additional stake.

Prior to this, on August 22, 2025, Mr. Nam had also successfully purchased 27 million HAG shares through a similar negotiated deal, becoming a significant shareholder in HAGL with a 2.55% stake.

On the other hand, Chairman Duc has sold 25 million HAG shares through negotiated deals between August 18 and August 22, 2025, reducing his holdings.

Post these transactions, Chairman Duc’s ownership in HAGL decreased from over 329.95 million shares to over 304.95 million shares, lowering his stake from 31.2% to 28.84%.

In a separate development, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) recently published information on HAGL’s bond payments. Due to a lack of funds, the company delayed interest payments for the HAGLBOND16.26 bond series in the first half of 2025, totaling over VND 160 billion.

However, following negotiations with investors, the company received an extension for these payments until the bond’s maturity date.

The HAGLBOND16.26 bond series, issued on December 30, 2016, had a total value of VND 6,596 billion. It comprises two groups: Group A with a face value of VND 2,148 billion and Group B with a value of VND 2,000 billion. With a 10-year term, the bonds are set to mature on December 30, 2026.

As of June 30, 2025, the outstanding principal amount of this bond series stood at VND 1,099 billion.
