This would increase the starting price by $100, but essentially offer a higher capacity at a slightly higher price point, rather than a direct price increase.

Turning to the iPhone 17 Air, which is rumored to be an ultra-slim device replacing the iPhone 16 Plus, details remain scarce. With its new design, Apple may position the Air model slightly higher in the range, with predicted prices ranging from $899 to $949.
JPMorgan’s report predicts the following starting prices for the entire iPhone 17 lineup: iPhone 17 remains at $799, iPhone 17 Air ranges from $899 to $949 (a slight increase of about $50), iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 (a $100 increase due to higher storage capacity), and iPhone 17 Pro Max maintains its price at $1,199.
However, despite the optimistic outlook from JPMorgan, tech insiders caution that official pricing will only be confirmed when Apple makes its announcement on September 10th at 0:00 (Vietnam time). With competitor Google maintaining prices for its Pixel 10, Apple may choose to keep prices steady to remain competitive. Yet, with rising production costs, a slight increase in iPhone prices wouldn’t come as a surprise.
Rumors also suggest that pre-orders could begin as early as September 12th, with the first iPhone 17 models reaching customers’ hands on September 19th. There are hopes that Vietnam will be included in the first wave of countries to receive the iPhone 17 this year.
