The Viettel Institute of Aerospace and Astronautics (VTX) is a unit under the Military-Industrial and
Telecommunications Group, established in 2017.
Earlier, in 2014, the Viettel Group proactively proposed a project to research, design, manufacture, and produce
high-tech military equipment. After being approved by the Central Military Commission, the project was approved by
the Prime Minister in early 2015 and assigned to Viettel for implementation. In 2017, the Viettel Institute of

partners in research and development, technology transfer, and human resource training in the field of aerospace
and aeronautics.
In its development process, VTX has successfully implemented many important projects, including very new,
challenging, and complex fields for Vietnam and the world. Many projects have been accepted with breakthrough
results in the aerospace field, making Vietnam one of the few countries in the world capable of mastering
technical equipment and high-tech defense industry products in this field.
