According to the Deo Ca Corporation, on the morning of September 3, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of the Board of Directors, inspected the progress of the Dong Dang (Lang Son) – Tra Linh (Cao Bang) Expressway project. The inspection took place with just over three months left before the Phase 1 opening deadline of December 19, as set by the Prime Minister.
The Dong Dang – Tra Linh Expressway is 121 kilometers long and has a total investment of nearly VND 23,000 billion. It is invested in two phases. Phase 1 is 93.35 kilometers long and includes two mountain tunnels and 64 bridges crossing the Ky Cung and Bang Giang rivers, as well as numerous creeks and provincial roads. The Deo Ca Corporation-led joint venture is the project’s investor.
Phase 2 was inaugurated on August 19 as part of the program to inaugurate 250 projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day. This phase involves widening the entire 93.35-kilometer length of Phase 1 to four lanes and constructing an additional 26.47-kilometer section to connect to the Tra Linh border gate, with a total investment of VND 12,072 billion. The project is expected to be completed by 2027.

Regarding the progress of Phase 1, Deo Ca Corporation stated that the General Contractor’s Management Board has organized continuous construction, maintaining a full workforce of contractors working through the National Day holiday on September 2.
Despite the impact of prolonged heavy rains, complex geology, and the large volume of work in both phases, the contractors currently have over 3,300 workers and 1,468 machinery equipment units, simultaneously deploying 287 “burst speed” construction sites along the entire route.
Phase 1 of the project has excavated 16.70/23 million cubic meters, embanked 8.26/14.6 million cubic meters, constructed 357/447 culverts and tunnels, and completed 56/62 bridges. The output reached over 36% of the contract value, equivalent to 62% of the output for the 2025 opening.
According to the plan, by December 19, 40 kilometers will be opened on a concrete asphalt foundation, 19 kilometers on a crushed stone foundation, and 34.25 kilometers on a K95 foundation for the remaining sections.
At the inspection, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ho Minh Hoang, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the project enterprise, the General Contractor’s Management Board, the contractors, and the engineers, workers, and employees who have made every effort to overcome difficulties, working day and night, including holidays, to ensure progress.
With the remaining work still very large, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang reminded the construction team to maintain a high level of focus while vigorously implementing solutions to make up for the delay caused by the prolonged rainy season and accelerate construction in this final stretch. At the same time, the Chairman of Deo Ca Corporation also requested the enterprise to pay attention to controlling the progress of capital disbursement for the project in a timely manner.
