The price of gold rings continues to reach historic highs, yet many customers are still determined to buy. Several people shared that they had been there since 7 am, waiting for a few hours, but by 9 am, they still didn’t know if they would be able to purchase gold.

Ms. Thu Phuong, from Dong Anh, Hanoi, said that she left home at 6 am and waited for more than 2 hours at Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewelry Store in Cau Giay District, but it was uncertain if she would be able to buy any gold.

In recent days, despite the sharp rise in gold prices, many people have still decided to buy for storage purposes.

Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewelry Store limited sales to one tael per person and announced that they were sold out after half an hour of opening.

Not Just Gold, Silver is Also Sold Out

Other gold shops, such as Doji in Cau Giay, were empty due to a lack of gold rings and no gold bars for sale.

Not only gold but silver is also in short supply as prices soar, approaching the 43 million VND per kg mark, the highest in history. A representative from Phu Quy Jewelry Store stated that customers must place orders in advance for both gold and silver purchases.
