The Ultimate Guide to Rest Stops and Gas Stations on the North-South Highway This 2/9 Holiday

The Ministry of Construction has released information regarding rest stops, temporary stations, and gas stations along the North-South Highway, ensuring convenience and ease of travel for citizens during the National Day holiday on September 2nd.

Northern Region

According to the Ministry of Construction, in the Northern region, if you’re traveling along the Mai Son – National Highway (NH) 45 expressway, you can make a stop at the Gia Mieu, Ha Linh, Thieu Giang, Dong Xuan, and Dong Thang interchanges. These interchanges all have gas stations available during the holiday period.

On the NH 45 – Nghi Son expressway, the Van Thien and Nghi Son interchanges offer gas stations as well.

Along the Nghi Son – Dien Chau expressway, there are three interchanges with rest stops and gas stations: Quynh Vinh, Quynh My, and Dien Cat.

Also, in the Northern region, drivers on the Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway can take a break and refuel at the Nghi Phuong, Hung Tay, and Bai Vot interchanges.

Temporary rest stops on both sides of the North-South expressway, from Ninh Binh to Ha Tinh, in mid-March.

Central Region

In the Central region, the following expressway sections have gas stations and eateries serving travelers at the on/off ramps of the interchanges.

Specifically, the Ham Nghi – Vung Ang expressway has the Cam Quan, Ky Trung, and NH 12C interchanges.

The Vung Ang – Bung expressway features the Tien – Chau – Van Hoa, NH 12A, and Quang Hop interchanges.

Along the Bung – Van Ninh expressway, you’ll find the Cu Nam, Viet Trung, and Nhat Le 2 interchanges, as well as access to NH 9B.

The Van Ninh – Cam Lo expressway section includes interchanges at NH 9C, NH 9D, DT75, and NH 9A.

The Cam Lo – La Son expressway provides temporary rest areas at Km64+200 (right) and Km77+800 (left).

For those traveling on the La Son – Hoa Lien expressway, there are rest stops at Km1+250 (left), Km13+280, and the Hoa Lien interchange.

As for the Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan expressway, it offers interchanges at Km66+00, Hoang Van Thai, and Km77+472, all equipped with gas stations and dining options.

If you’re celebrating the September 2nd holiday on the Da Nang – Quang Ngai expressway, you can take a break at the Tuy Loan, Phong Thu, Ha Lam, Tam Ky, Chu Lai, Bac Quang Ngai, Quang Ngai, or NH 1 interchanges. On the Van Phong – Nha Trang expressway, drivers can stop at the Co Ma, NH 26, and Van Gia interchanges.

Southern Region

According to the Ministry of Construction, during this holiday period, vehicles traveling on the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway can take a break and refuel at temporary rest stops located at the NH 27C, Suoi Dau, and Cam Lam interchanges. Notably, the NH 27B interchange on the same expressway has a temporary rest area at Km33+930 on both sides of the road.

Similarly, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway offers a rest stop and refueling option at the Du Long interchange, Km92+815, for those traveling during the holiday.

Along the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet expressway, drivers can take a break at the Vinh Hao, Cho Lau, Dai Ninh, Ma Lam, and Phan Thiet interchanges.

The Phan Thiet – Dau Giay expressway provides temporary rest areas and gas stations at interchanges such as Ba Bau, NH 55, TL720, NH 1, and TL765. Notably, the NH 56 interchange on this expressway has a temporary rest area at Km47+500 on both sides of the road.

With these additional temporary rest stops and gas stations, especially along the longer expressway sections that don’t yet have official rest areas, the North-South expressway is well-equipped to serve travelers during the September 2nd holiday.

According to the Ministry of Construction, 19 out of 21 official rest stops have already attracted investors and are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
