Digiworld has just announced the issuance of 2 million shares under its 2025 Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), equivalent to a ratio of over 0.91%. The offering price is set at VND 10,000 per share, a 76% discount to the current market price of around VND 42,000 per share. The ESOP shares are subject to a one-year lock-up period, and the subscription period is from September 12 to 26. If completed, Digiworld’s charter capital will increase to over VND 2,213 billion.

92 employees participated, with the CEO purchasing the most

As of the end of June 2025, Digiworld had a total of 781 employees, a decrease of 126 from the beginning of the year. The list of eligible employees for the 2025 ESOP includes 92 people, including 7 leaders who will purchase more than 100,000 shares each. The largest allocation went to Dang Kien Phuong, the General Director and Member of the Board of Directors, with 180,000 shares, accounting for 9% of the issuance. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Doan Hong Viet, was not included in the ESOP participants list.

At Digiworld, Mr. Doan Hong Viet does not hold any shares personally, but three related organizations, of which he is the Chairman, hold nearly 40% of the capital. Specifically, Created Future Joint Stock Company is the largest shareholder with a stake of 31.73%. Mrs. Dang Kien Phuong also does not own any individual shares but is currently the Chairman of DKP One Member Limited Liability Company, a major shareholder holding 5.03% of Digiworld’s capital.

Business recovery with half-year revenue exceeding VND 11,000 billion

Digiworld is currently one of the leading distributors in Vietnam in the technology and consumer electronics industries. In the first half of 2025, the company recorded revenue of VND 11,251 billion and a net profit of VND 222 billion, increases of 13% and 22%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. These are the highest levels in the past three years, achieving 44% of the annual revenue plan and 42% of the profit target.

Digiworld’s Half-Year Annual Business Results

The growth came entirely from core operations. Specifically, laptop and tablet revenue increased by 19%, office equipment revenue grew by 41%, household appliances revenue rose by 83%, and consumer goods revenue increased by 29%. Meanwhile, the mobile phone segment declined by 10% due to weak demand, despite still contributing the largest proportion of revenue at 37%, followed by the laptop and tablet segment at 29%.

On the stock exchange, DGW shares traded around VND 42,000 per share on September 8, a 9% decrease over the past month but still reflecting a 24% gain in the past three months. The stock had surged past VND 48,000 per share in mid-August, the highest level in over a year, before retreating to the current levels. Compared to a year ago, the share price is still about 11% lower, with an average trading volume of over 1.8 million shares per session.
