**Hòa Phát on Track to Meet Steel Demand with Increased Production**

In Q4 2025, Hoa Phat’s crude steel output is expected to reach 40,000 tons per day, allowing the company to meet market demands for hot-rolled coil (HRC) steel, construction steel, and various high-quality steel products.

Chairman of HPG, Tran Dinh Long

Currently, 75% of the group’s crude steel output comes from the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex, with the remaining being produced at the Hoa Phat Hai Duong Integrated Steel Complex and the Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Mill.

Since Q2 2025, the first and second blast furnaces of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Integrated Steel Complex project have been successively put into operation, marking the completion of the project. As a result, the crude steel output of the entire Hoa Phat Dung Quat Complex has continuously grown and now stands at 30,000 tons per day.

In the closed-loop steel production chain, molten iron from the pig iron plant is transferred to the oxygen blowing furnace of the steelmaking plant to remove impurities, stabilize the composition, and produce liquid steel. Depending on the requirements of the output product, the liquid steel will undergo refining and be transferred to the square billet casting machine (for construction steel and high-quality steel production) or slab caster (for HRC production).

In addition to the common HRC products, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Integrated Steel Complex focuses on producing premium HRC products for various industries, including manufacturing, automotive, shipbuilding, petrochemical, household appliances, energy, and more.

For the first six months of 2025, Hoa Phat produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Total sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel, and steel billets reached 5 million tons, a 23% increase compared to the first half of last year. Notably, hot-rolled coil (HRC) sales recorded an impressive 42% growth compared to the first half of 2024.

Hoa Phat is currently the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia and is among the top 30 steel companies in the world. From 2026 onwards, Hoa Phat’s steel production capacity is expected to reach 16 million tons per year, including 9 million tons of HRC and high-quality steel, sufficiently meeting domestic and international market demands.
