According to sources from Greatbiker in Indonesia, during the monitoring of the ADV 160 2026 project, a “mysterious engine” was accidentally discovered. This engine has a 160cc, 4-valve structure similar to the Honda Click/Vario 160, but features a completely new code, distinct from the K2S code used for Click and ADV. This is a clear indication that it is being developed for a new model, not just an upgrade.

Additionally, leaked information about the frame further strengthens this hypothesis. The new model is said to feature a center tunnel design, similar to the Honda Air Blade and its rival, the Yamaha NVX, instead of a flat floorboard like the Click/Vario or PCX.

The information suggests that a new 160cc 4-valve engine with a unique code, combined with a sporty frame, could be Honda’s next move to fill a gap in the sports scooter segment.

Currently, Honda utilizes the 160cc engine across various models, each targeting a specific segment: PCX for luxury, ADV for adventure, Stylo for fashion, and Click/Vario for urban commuting. While the Air Blade leans towards sports, it isn’t a direct rival to the Yamaha NVX in terms of aggressive design and pure sports handling.

The combination of a high-performance 160cc engine and a new sporty frame indicates Honda’s strategy to fill this gap in the market. A completely new generation of Honda Air Blade, developed to be the “NVX killer,” is a plausible and highly anticipated scenario.

If this new model is equipped with aggressive styling, large wheels, a digital display, and a sport-touring riding position, it could potentially change the landscape of the 155-160cc sports scooter segment, creating the long-awaited direct confrontation between Honda and Yamaha fans.
