In August 2025, Hoa Phat Group’s liquid steel (crude steel) output reached 953,000 tons, equivalent to 31,800 tons per day, a 34% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
In the 4th quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat’s crude steel output is expected to reach approximately 40,000 tons per day. With this production capacity, Hoa Phat is ready to fully meet the market demand for hot-rolled coil (HRC) steel, construction steel, and various types of high-quality steel.
75% of the crude steel output comes from the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Iron and Steel Production Complex, while the remaining is produced by the Hoa Phat Hai Duong Integrated Iron and Steel Production Complex and the Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Rolling Mill.
In the closed-loop steel production chain, the molten iron from the Pig Iron Plant will be transferred to the Oxygen Blow Furnace of the Steelmaking Plant to remove impurities, stabilize the composition, and create liquid steel. Depending on the requirements of the output products, the liquid steel will undergo refining and then be transferred to the square billet caster (used for producing construction steel and high-quality steel) or slab caster (used for producing HRC).
In addition to the common HRC products, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Iron and Steel Production Complex 2 focuses on manufacturing premium HRC products, serving the manufacturing industry, automotive industry, shipbuilding industry, petrochemical industry, household appliances, energy, and more.
In the first six months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, a 17% increase compared to the first half of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel, and steel billets reached 5 million tons, a 23% increase compared to the first half of last year. Hot-rolled coil sales alone achieved a 42% increase compared to the first half of 2024.
Hoa Phat Group is the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia and is among the top 30 steel companies in the world. From 2026 onwards, Hoa Phat’s steel production capacity will reach 16 million tons per year, including 9 million tons of HRC and high-quality steel, fully meeting the demands of domestic and overseas markets.
